With the theme “Cultural Essence”, the opening night of the series of 5 fireworks nights lasting from June 8 to July 13, 2024 is considered a vibrant artistic high note in the magical symphony of fireworks, music and light to highlight the friendship and solidarity among peoples around the world.
The highlight of the opening night was a unique art performance combining both onshore and underwater performances. This was the opening performance for an impressive art program, the first of its kind in Da Nang .
Arriving very early to wait for the lights to be lit up in the sky of the Han River, Mr. Truong Anh Trung (a tourist from Gia Lai ) excitedly shared, I did not think everything would be so eye-catching. From the stage, the performances to the fireworks, the sound, the light… everything is extremely impressive and full of art.
“I was most impressed by the underwater performance. Everything was so perfect and excited the audience. Many days ago, I also watched videos on social media revealing this performance. Seeing it on the small screen was beautiful, but truly, there is no feeling like watching it live,” Trung expressed.
Sharing the same excitement as many audiences at DIFF 2024, William (a tourist from the US) shared: “I feel more excited than ever. I am very impressed with the combination of Jetski & Flyboard with traditional music. This is the first time there has been a performance that left me speechless. Everyone must come here and witness it in person to fully appreciate all these wonderful things. This is no longer a fireworks display but a real art party.”
Not only attracting by the special art program, the opening night of DIFF 2024 also lit up the sky of the Han River with thousands of splendid and magical fireworks. In addition to 10,000 seats filled with spectators, the areas around the Han River were also crowded with people waiting to watch the artistic fireworks lighting up the sky of Da Nang. This is a testament to the special attraction of DIFF.
As a resident of Da Nang city, having watched fireworks displays many times over the years, Ms. Tran Thi Giang's emotions are still as fresh and full of excitement.
"Every year I look forward to the fireworks display of the host team. Over the years, the Da Nang - Vietnam team has really improved, performing unique fireworks designs. Although the weather was not very favorable, causing the smog to reduce the effect of the performance, the music selection of the Vietnamese team was very meaningful. The performance of the French team was wonderful, worthy of the title of defending champion of DIFF 2023," said Ms. Giang.
The Da Nang International Fireworks Festival lasts until July 13, promising to bring many surprises to locals and tourists.
