Although the office is located in Hanoi , most of Fedu Design’s students come from many other provinces. So where does Fedu teach, how does it operate, and how do students connect when they are not in school? The following story will reveal a new perspective on “learning design without a lecture hall”.
Where is Fedu Design address?
Fedu design is currently located at 33, lane 41 Thai Ha, Dong Da, Hanoi - a small building with a modest nameplate, mainly used as a content production studio and mentor meeting place.
Since the end of 2023, Fedu has completely switched to online teaching, with no more fixed classes since the 2021 social distancing period. For most students across Vietnam and abroad, the "class" takes place via laptop - and the office address is just a place to record, receive business guests or directly correct lessons when needed. Online space is "cool" enough to replace real classrooms
When switching online, Fedu Design did not teach via Zoom alone but created “three layers of virtual space”:
1. Broadcast studio : Lectures are filmed like on television, illustrated directly on the screen instead of sending separate files.
2. Closed Zalo/Facebook group : Each question usually receives 3 responses - from mentors and students who have encountered similar errors.
3. Weekend Zoom : Lecturer opens original PSD, shares screen, analyzes and edits directly – just as stressful as offline class.
Thanks to this structure, students learn anytime, anywhere. Some people edit banners at the airport, others spend three nights editing lectures in a studio – which is now just a backdrop for behind-the-scenes vlogs.
Does Fedu open offline classes?
Yes, but not on a fixed schedule. From 2022, Fedu will organize about 3-4 workshops/year called Design Weekend with 40 students, 1 practical topic, 1-1 mentoring from idea to pitching. Tickets always sell out quickly, mainly former students come to "meet the teacher" and connect.
Special point: the workshop does not take place in Hanoi but rotates in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang , Da Lat... simulating the agency deadline in just 10 hours. The best product is signed with a real contract. With limited frequency, offline classes are "rewards", while long-term learning still takes place online via Google Meet.
Which form to choose to not miss the learning rhythm?
If you want to “smell the ink”, you can visit Fedu headquarters at 33 Alley 41 Thai Ha (remember to make an appointment in advance to avoid overlapping with the recording session). But if the goal is to upgrade your skills and save time, online is still the shortest way.
At Fedu, the most important “study address” is not on the map but on the stable internet connection and the study schedule you commit to. Sometimes, 30 minutes before bedtime, a time to submit an assignment to receive frank feedback - that is the moment you truly mature in your career.
Conclude
With Fedu Design, the concept of “training address” has been redefined. It is no longer a fixed classroom or a building with a bell ringing to start class, but a place where you can turn on your computer at 10 pm, take advantage of a lesson on product photography composition – and apply it to your work the next morning. From a platform originating in Hanoi, Fedu has built a learning space that ranges from Zalo groups to Zoom, from airport corridors to late-night coffee shops where you do the final edits before sending them to clients.
Because in an era where skills are more important than degrees, learning is no longer tied to a specific location – but to the attitude and journey you choose to grow up. And Fedu Design, somewhere between reality and online, is a silent but persistent companion on that journey.
