According to information released by the Hai Phong Department of Education and Training this afternoon (January 27th), the third exam subject will be a Foreign Language. Candidates can choose to take one of the following foreign language exams: English, French, Japanese, or Korean.

To date, Hai Phong is the ninth province to announce the third subject for the 10th grade high school entrance exam.

Eight provinces had previously announced their results: Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hue, Can Tho , Tuyen Quang, Cao Bang, Thanh Hoa, and Nghe An. Most provinces chose a foreign language as the third exam subject.

Specifically, students in Cao Bang will take exams in three subjects: Mathematics, Literature, and English.

For students applying to specialized high schools, in addition to the three subjects of Mathematics, Literature, and English, candidates must also take a specialized subject exam as prescribed.

Localities such as Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hue, Nghe An, and Thanh Hoa have all chosen a foreign language as the third subject for the 10th grade entrance exam.

For this year's 10th grade entrance exam, the third subject is a foreign language, and students in Can Tho can choose either English or French to take the test.

The review content; the structure, format of the exam, and the way of answering questions for each subject in the exam will be specifically guided by the City Department of Education and Training in a separate document.

This year, Tuyen Quang province has chosen Natural Sciences as the third subject for the exam. The Natural Sciences exam will be in the form of multiple-choice questions, with a time limit of 90 minutes.

Most unusually, Son La province had previously announced that the third subject for the 10th grade entrance exam would be a combination of 8 subjects. Immediately after the information was published, causing much controversy, the province announced a temporary suspension of the policy of choosing subjects from the combination.
