2025 is the first year of applying the high school graduation exam according to the 2018 general education program with many adjustments in content and organization of the exam, but students in the province have adapted well, showing a proactive spirit, self-study and taking the test seriously. Specifically, the whole province has 9,428 grade 12 students participating in the exam, as a result, 9,352 students were recognized as graduates, reaching a rate of 99.19%, an increase of 0.09% compared to the 2024 exam.
In addition to the high graduation rate, the highlight of this year's exam is the achievement of 10 points. This year, the whole province has 131 students achieving a total of 136 points of 10 in the exam subjects, a sharp increase compared to 2024 (90 students achieved 95 points of 10). In which, Geography continues to lead in quantity with 74 points of 10, followed by History with 23 points of 10, Foreign Language with 10 points of 10. Many subjects that were "blank areas" in terms of absolute scores in last year's exam have marked positive results this year such as: Math with 2 points of 10, Physics 11, Chemistry 4, Biology 1. Some points of 10 also appeared in subjects under the new program such as Economics and Law (8 points of 10), Agricultural Technology (3 points of 10), this shows the uniformity in the quality of teaching and learning between subjects.
Mr. Dang Hong Cuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, said: The results of this year's exam show the thorough and serious preparation of the entire sector, from the direction of review to the organization and grading of exams. The fact that many students achieved high scores, especially 10 points in many subjects, shows that the quality of teaching and learning is changing positively and evenly among localities. In the coming time, the sector will continue to focus on improving the capacity of staff, innovating teaching methods towards developing students' qualities and abilities, meeting the requirements of the new general education program.
Students who scored 10 points not only came from specialized schools, but were also spread across many schools, showing the efforts of students across the province. Some schools with many students scoring 10 points include Chu Van An High School for the Gifted (24 students with 27 scores of 10), Huu Lung High School (14 students with 14 scores of 10), the Provincial Boarding Ethnic High School (8 students with 8 scores of 10), Viet Bac High School (7 students with 8 scores of 10), Loc Binh High School (6 students with 6 scores of 10)... Notably, this year's exam recorded 5 students scoring 2 scores of 10, including: Vy Kim Chi, class 12B, Loc Binh Secondary and High School for Ethnic Boarding Students; Hoang Huy Hai, class 12A4, Binh Gia High School; Hoang Thi Phuong Lan, class 12E, Chu Van An High School for the Gifted; Dam Minh Phuong, class 12A6, Viet Bac High School.
As one of the outstanding students at Viet Bac High School, Dam Minh Phuong achieved a total score of 28.5 in block A00, with 2 points of 10 in Chemistry and Biology, 8.5 points in Math, ranking 2nd in block A00 in the province. Minh Phuong shared: To achieve high results, the important thing is to maintain a regular study habit every day, proactively set goals and persistently implement them. I often discuss with teachers to clarify the remaining knowledge, at the same time combine studying and practicing questions, thereby improving my thinking and problem-solving skills. At the same time, I also maintain a scientific living schedule, going to bed before 11pm every day to maintain stable health and spirit during the review process."
This year, the whole province has 26 high schools with a 100% graduation rate, an increase of 2 schools compared to 2024. It is noteworthy that in addition to schools in favorable wards, many schools in communes also achieved good results, reflecting the careful preparation as well as the high sense of responsibility of the teaching staff. Ms. Hoang Anh Tuyet, Head of the Social Sciences Group, Huu Lung High School (Hu Lung Commune) shared: In this year's exam, the group had 10 students scoring 10 points in the subjects of the group. To achieve that result, right from the beginning of the school year, the professional group developed a specific review plan, differentiated students according to their abilities, and organized review classes suitable for each group of subjects. Teachers in the group focused on guiding students according to each level of cognition, combined with compiling carefully reviewed exam questions, helping students get acquainted with the requirements of the real exam, thereby gradually improving the quality of review.
Looking at the 10 points, it is clear that the province's educational picture is gradually affirming its depth and uniformity in quality. Each 10 point achieved is not only the result of an excellent test, but also the result of a serious learning process, supported by teachers and schools.
