Last year, the People's Police Academy's benchmark score ranged from 18.02 to 24.65. The highest benchmark score was 24.65, applied to female candidates in region 3. The lowest admission score was 18.02 points, for female candidates in region 8.

This year, the People's Police Academy recruits 530 full-time university students for 2025, the same as last year. This year, the People's Police Academy recruits 530 students for training in the Police Profession group (477 males, 53 females). The enrollment area in the North from Hue and beyond is divided into 4 regions (regions 1, 2, 3, 8).

Region 1: Northern mountainous provinces (10 provinces): Ha Giang, Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Tuyen Quang, Lang Son, Lao Cai, Yen Bai , Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Son La.

Region 2: Provinces and cities in the Northern Delta and midlands (15 provinces and cities): Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Hoa Binh, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Bac Giang, Vinh Phuc, Bac Ninh, Thai Binh , Nam Dinh, Ha Nam, Ninh Binh, Quang Ninh.

Region 3: North Central provinces (6 provinces and cities): Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Hue.

Region 8: The North includes active duty soldiers stationed from Hue and beyond of units A09, C01, C10, C11, K01, K02.

The Academy notes that in case the university quota in the enrollment area is not enough (according to each exam combination), this quota will be transferred to consider candidates from the remaining enrollment areas according to the Northern region, from high to low according to the enrollment regulations.
