Hue Central Hospital operates the most modern retinal surgery system in the Central region.

DNVN - On July 25, the Eye Center - Hue Central Hospital officially put into operation the Constellation® Vision System - Alcon, the world's leading advanced ophthalmic surgical equipment.

This is an important step in the high-tech development strategy, aiming to improve the quality of treatment of complex eye diseases in the Central Highlands region.

The Constellation® system integrates a series of modern technologies such as dual cutting heads with a speed of 10,000 cuts/second, automatic intraocular pressure control mechanism, high-power cold lighting system, intraocular photocoagulation module and integrated Phaco machine. Thanks to that, vitreous-retinal surgeries are performed with outstanding precision, shortening recovery time and ensuring maximum safety for patients.

According to specialists at the Eye Center, this device is especially effective in treating cases of retinal detachment, vitreous hemorrhage, macular hole, preretinal membrane, diabetic retinopathy, intraocular foreign bodies, or the need to combine vitrectomy with phacoemulsification, intraocular gas injection, or intraocular oil.

On average, each year, the Eye Center, the final ophthalmology unit in the Central Highlands, receives and treats over 500 cases of vitreous-retinal diseases. Investing in this modern system not only improves professional capacity but also helps reduce costs, treatment time and travel effort for patients in the region.
