On July 15, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the score distribution of the 2025 high school graduation exam. Looking at this year's score distribution, Dr. Le Anh Duc, Head of Training Management Department, National Economics University, predicted that based on the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, the admission scores to schools may be lower than in 2024, especially in groups with Math and English.

Specifically, the National Economics University predicts that the admission scores for the school's majors this year will be lower than in 2024, depending on the major/training program, it may be 1-2 points lower.

In this method, the school will consider based on 4 groups, including A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry), A01 (Math, Physics, English), D01 (Math, Literature, English), D07 (Math, Chemistry, English) and there is no difference in admission scores between the admission groups. The threshold to ensure input quality (floor score) with this method is 20 points.

Dr. Le Anh Duc said that the fact that all these groups have Math ensures relative fairness for candidates.

In recent years, the admission score to the National Economics University based on high school graduation exam scores is commonly 26-27.5.

In 2024, on a scale of 30, Public Relations has the highest score of 28.18, followed by E-commerce at 28.02. The remaining majors all have scores of 26.57 or higher. On a scale of 40, the highest admission threshold is 37.49 for Marketing Communications.

Regarding admission methods other than high school graduation exam scores, according to Mr. Duc, the benchmark scores between these methods must be converted to the equivalent of high school graduation exam scores, so the benchmark scores may also tend to be lower than in 2024.

Previously, according to the exam score distribution announced by the Ministry of Education and Training, the average score of candidates in traditional university entrance exam groups such as A00, A01, B00, C00, D01 all decreased by about 1-2 points compared to last year.

Experts predict that blocks A00, A01, B00 may decrease by 1.5-2 points in many majors, block D01 may decrease slightly, about 0.5-1.5 points.

Announcement schedule for university admission floor scores in 2025 After the high school graduation exam scores are available on July 16, universities will announce the threshold to ensure input quality (floor scores).
