In Khanh Hoa, aquaculture in general and marine aquaculture in particular always play an important role in the local socio -economic development, creating jobs, increasing income, and improving the lives of coastal people; the province's annual aquaculture output reaches more than 32,000 tons, of which marine aquaculture output accounts for about 50%, making an important contribution to the province's seafood export turnover of 845.9 million USD in 2024. Marine aquaculture development in Khanh Hoa has achieved many positive results. Up to now, many businesses, individuals and households have registered and deployed production in high-tech marine aquaculture areas, with marine aquaculture focusing on marine fish, cages made of new materials (HDPE, FRP, etc.), using automatic environmental monitoring equipment with sensor technology to monitor water quality; automatic feeding machines; Surveillance camera system in cages... However, the negative impacts of climate change, extreme weather events and natural disasters have directly affected the province's marine farming activities. Fishermen mainly farm according to traditional processes, on a small scale; most cages are made from bamboo and wood, which cannot withstand strong winds and waves; the rapid increase in the number of cages has degraded water quality and the environment, increasing the risk of disease...
