On July 24, the M-Talks 2025 Strategic Industry Forum officially took place in Ho Chi Minh City, organized by RX Tradex Vietnam - the organizer of Metalex Vietnam - in coordination with the Vietnam Association of Supporting Industries (VASI) and the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Supporting Industry Development (CSID).
This is the opening activity for a series of events leading up to the 18th METALEX Vietnam 2025 International Exhibition, scheduled to take place from October 1-3, 2025 at SECC with a scale of 250+ global brands, more than 10 international pavilions and attracting over 15,000 trade visitors from more than 30 countries.
With the theme "Opportunities to break through the value chain of Vietnam's mechanical and manufacturing industry in the context of tariffs and global supply chain shifts", M-Talk 2025 attracted more than 250 delegates and speakers from VASI, CSID, RX Tradex, Source of Asia, Automech, GCool and many leading industry experts.
The forum is a place to connect substantive dialogues between businesses, industry associations, support organizations and experts to develop strategies to upgrade Vietnam’s position in the global value chain. Delegates said that, in the face of the wave of supply chain restructuring and increasing trade barriers, Vietnamese businesses need to move beyond the role of processing, aiming to own core technology, design products and develop brands.

Also at the forum, experts shared experiences in transforming production models, promoting R&D, investing in automation, and exploiting advantages from free trade agreements (FTAs), trade promotion policies, and digital platforms to enhance the ability to penetrate international supply chains. Post-COVID-19 technology trends, ESG, supporting industries, and finance-export were also updated in the industry development policy orientation.
The organizers also introduced the Metalex Vietnam 2025 exhibition with the message: “Empowering Metalworking”. This is not only a technology display event but also a strategic touch point for Vietnamese mechanical enterprises to improve their production capacity and integrate into the global supply chain.

This year’s exhibition will bring a comprehensive technology ecosystem that directly serves the needs of equipment investment, production line upgrades and digital transformation in the mechanical industry. The series of seminars throughout the three-day exhibition will revolve around key topics such as AI & big data, smart manufacturing, supporting industry policies, ESG, and supply chain localization trends. The future technology selection area also brings together new-generation solutions and equipment from industry-leading brands.
In addition, the Business Matching program, a supply-demand connection area between buyers and suppliers of components and semi-finished products, will also be deployed, helping businesses find strategic partners.
Within the framework of the exhibition, the 2025 Supporting Industry Supplier Search Conference will be jointly organized by RX Tradex and CSID. The conference is a bridge between domestic supporting industry enterprises and large international corporations. At the same time, an in-depth training program on the roadmap to participate in the global supply chain will also be implemented, supporting domestic enterprises to improve their capacity, standardize processes and integrate sustainably.
