From June 1st, the Immigration Department will implement a mandatory regulation requiring all international tourists entering Vietnam through Phu Quoc International Airport to declare their information online before arriving in Vietnam.
According to the announcement, passengers can make declarations at any time within 3 days before their flight departure. This regulation helps passengers save time during check-in procedures, reduces congestion at border crossings, and contributes to speeding up the immigration control process.
To complete the procedure, passengers access the online declaration system at https://prearrival.immigration.gov.vn or scan the QR code provided at the check-in counters. After selecting the language, users choose "Create & Submit Pre-arrival Information" and fill in all personal information and visa information.
Under "Visa Type/Purpose," passengers are required to select "Phu Quoc visa exemption." The applicant then provides flight information and accommodation address in Vietnam before the application is reviewed, confirmed, and submitted.
Once completed, the system will issue a QR code confirming successful declaration. Passengers are required to save or take a screenshot of this QR code to present to immigration officers upon arrival in Phu Quoc.
Before making the declaration, passengers need to prepare a passport valid for more than 6 months, flight information, accommodation address in Vietnam, and a personal email address to receive notifications from the system. Authorities advise passengers to complete the declaration early to ensure a smooth entry process and enhance their experience when visiting Phu Quoc.
