WHAT I SAY: Learn to be grateful

Pham Nguyen Hoang Huu Ly (33 years old, from Vinh Long) has the determination to pursue his goals and the spirit of learning to step out of his comfort zone.

Ly is currently a department head at a travel company, where he lives with his passion for his career while continuing his journey to explore new horizons. He has set foot in more than 20 countries and territories. Each destination is a milestone. There are trips that are as gentle as a deep breath to "heal", and there are trips that give him many dramatic experiences - but all leave a deep impression.

Thanks to what he has experienced on each route, Ly understands better the psychology of customers, knows what the meaningful highlights are and can advise and design the journey with all the heart of someone who has been there.

In Japan, Ly always remembers the image of cherry blossoms falling in a poetic scene that captures both fragility and freedom. In France, Italy and Germany, he not only felt the hustle and bustle of the streets, but also felt like he was walking through layers of historical sediment. In the US, there were times when he thought he was going in the right direction, but then... he found himself on the opposite side. "Thanks to those times of getting lost, I learned many things that books don't teach. I learned how to stay calm in a crowd, learned how to ask for directions with a smile and a thank you," Ly said.

Ly does not travel just to gain experiences and accumulate more life experience. He desires to live many lives in one lifetime - to listen, feel and understand stories and cultures that seem very different but have the same humanistic beat. Going beyond the border is an opportunity for Ly to truly dialogue with the world - and with himself.

The value of the trips not only helped Ly conquer distant lands, but also academic milestones - when he completed his Master of Business Administration program and is now continuing to pursue his dream of a PhD.

He increasingly understands the difference between knowing a destination and actually living it. Ly also enjoys taking photos, filming, and capturing moments, but what motivates him to travel are things that cannot be captured with a camera - the movements within the soul, the changes in perspective and the pace of life.

He listens more and judges less. "Because every culture has its own philosophy, beauty, and reason for existence. We only find it strange when we stand outside and look in. But if you touch it closely, you will see... every difference is worth understanding rather than judging" - Ly commented.

Ly also learned to be more grateful. Grateful for the opportunity to travel, to feel, to expand the scope of life. More than anything, Ly is more grateful for his homeland - the place he always wants to return to, bringing with him the good things he has picked up on each journey. The most precious thing is that those changes not only help Ly live more fully - but also become more successful in his career. He is no longer a mere service provider but also an inspiration to his customers.
