On the evening of April 18, Mr. Vu Van La - Chairman of the People's Committee of An My Commune, Quynh Phu District, Thai Binh - confirmed to Tuoi Tre Online that a local female student was beaten by a group of female students from An My Secondary School.

"The group of local female students studied at An My Secondary School. However, the fight happened in Dong Tien Commune, neighboring Quynh Phu District. As soon as I received the information, I assigned the commune police to work with the school. An My Commune Police are coordinating with Dong Tien Commune Police to investigate and verify...", said the chairman of An My Commune People's Committee.

According to the chairman of the People's Committee of An My commune, the incident occurred on the afternoon of April 10 between a group of 6th and 7th grade female students related to a love affair. These two groups made an appointment to meet at the Dong Tien commune stadium, Quynh Phu district to "resolve" the conflict.

"After the clip was posted on social media, the school invited the families and students involved in the incident to apologize to the families and students who were beaten. However, the school hid this matter, only giving warnings, so it did not report to local authorities.

On Sunday (April 13), I got the information online. On Monday, I asked the school board to come to work and assigned the commune police to verify and resolve the matter."

Up to now, the children are still going to school as usual. The female student who was beaten was absent from school for two days, then returned to school.

The leader of An My commune added that Thai Binh Provincial Police have directed Dong Tien Commune Police to verify and investigate the incident.

On the evening of April 18, Tuoi Tre Online contacted the principal of An My Secondary School many times but he did not pick up the phone.

On April 18, several Facebook groups posted photos and video clips of a female student being beaten by a group of people, along with the following article: The incident in which a group of female students, believed to be students from An My Secondary School, Quynh Phu, Thai Binh, used their hands to punch the female student hard in the head, causing her to collapse to the floor, while the victim was unable to resist.

The nearly 7-minute clip has attracted hundreds of comments and shares since it was posted. Many people are outraged and angry, asking authorities to intervene and take strict action to prevent school violence.
