On the evening of July 27, the Vietnam U23 team had a training session to prepare for the final match with Indonesia U23 at the 2025 Southeast Asian U23 Championship on July 29.
Before this match, information fromFPT Play - the copyright holder of the tournament said that the Southeast Asian Football Federation (AFF) and the tournament organizers decided to apply VAR (video assistant referee technology) for the match which promises to be very tense.
Speaking before the training session, striker Dinh Bac said that meeting U23 Indonesia is an important match for the U23 Vietnam team. "I feel like the whole team is well prepared and in good spirits," he said.
Sharing about the final match having VAR, Dinh Bac said: "I think having VAR will be fair for both teams. That is a good thing, because the nature of this match is important, requiring transparency. We will try to show good performance to win."

Dinh Bac scored 2 goals in the tournament but also missed many opportunities. Evaluating his performance, he said: "I feel like I'm gradually coming back, in good form. If I get to play, I will try my best to dedicate myself to the flag and the shirt."
Evaluating the opponent, Dinh Bac said U23 Indonesia is a strong opponent and has played very well in this tournament.
He said: "We have watched the U23 Indonesia match videos, analyzed their good points so that we can do our job well. All the U23 Indonesia players are very good. We will play with the most determination and passion possible."
Talking about the pressure from the large audience at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Dinh Bac shared: "Almost all the players have played on large-capacity stadiums. We also played an U19 tournament here.
I think the whole team spirit is very determined. We will focus on the competition, put aside all surrounding factors to bring glory to Vietnam."
Talking about the limited finishing ability of the U23 Vietnam team, Dinh Bac shared: "We will improve in the remaining 2 training sessions before entering the final match. We have missed a lot, myself included. We will find the feeling of scoring again in the remaining 2 training sessions."
