Teacher suspended from duty after being accused of molesting middle school student in Ho Chi Minh City.

On the afternoon of June 9th, the People's Committee of Nha Be District provided information regarding the inappropriate behavior of teacher NHM at the school towards students, which has caused public outrage.

Specifically, the school has suspended Mr. NHM from teaching in the classes he was in charge of and requested that he write a report.

"The leaders of the Nha Be District Department of Education and Training and the Board of Directors of Nguyen Binh Khiem Secondary School have met with parents and students to gather more information and offer apologies. Parents have agreed with the school's handling of the incident. The District People's Committee continues to direct the Department of Education and Training and relevant units to further verify and clarify the incident, and once the results are available, appropriate action will be taken according to regulations ," the Nha Be District People's Committee informed.

Earlier, at around 7 PM on June 8th, social media was abuzz with rumors about a teacher at Nguyen Binh Khiem Secondary School (Nha Be District) allegedly behaving inappropriately towards female students during class time.

According to the allegations, on previous occasions, the harasser also threatened the students not to tell their parents, otherwise they would be "punished." Furthermore, the harasser enticed the students by promising to buy them whatever they wanted; even suggestive items.

Regarding the incident, Mr. Ho Tan Minh, Chief of the Office of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, said that the Department has requested the Department of Education and Training of Nha Be District, Ho Chi Minh City, to verify the information.

"The Department has directed the Nha Be District Department of Education and Training and the secondary school mentioned in the complaint to verify the incident. Currently, the Nha Be District Department of Education and Training has received the information and is in the process of verification," said Mr. Ho Tan Minh.
