Suspend teacher accused of molesting female middle school student in Ho Chi Minh City

On the afternoon of June 9, the People's Committee of Nha Be district informed about the school's teacher NHM's inappropriate behavior towards students, causing public outrage.

Specifically, the school suspended teaching in the classes that Mr. NHM was in charge of and asked this teacher to write a report.

"The leaders of the Department of Education and Training of Nha Be District and the Board of Directors of Nguyen Binh Khiem Secondary School have contacted and met with parents and students to get more information and apologize to parents and students. Parents have agreed with the school's handling of the incident. The District People's Committee continues to direct the Department of Education and Training and related units to continue to verify and clarify the incident and when the results of the incident are available, they will organize the handling according to regulations ," informed the Nha Be District People's Committee.

Previously, at around 7:00 p.m. on June 8, social media had public opinion about a teacher working at Nguyen Binh Khiem Secondary School (Nha Be District) who acted inappropriately with a female student during class.

According to the accusation, the previous times, the harasser also threatened the students not to tell their parents, otherwise they would be "bullied". In addition, the harasser also lured the students into buying whatever they wanted; even buying sensitive items.

Regarding the incident, Mr. Ho Tan Minh, Chief of Office of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, said that the Department has requested the Department of Education and Training of Nha Be District, Ho Chi Minh City to verify the above information.

"The Department has directed the Department of Education and Training of Nha Be district and the Secondary School mentioned in the accusation to verify the above incident. Currently, the Department of Education and Training of Nha Be district has grasped the above information and is in the process of verification," said Mr. Ho Tan Minh.
