Films about workers' lives and labor have long been a topic with a lot of interesting material and are loved by audiences.
Vietnam Television will soon broadcast the film "Gentle Sunshine" showing a new, modern perspective on the lives of workers in the city.
There is Xuan, a poor girl, sometimes pragmatic but full of love for her family, trying to build a good life, then when she falls in love with someone who is "better" than her in many ways, she is confused and afraid. Bac is a man who was betrayed by his wife and is determined to prove himself; Nam - an honest, lonely girl, always silently protecting the person she loves; or Thao - using her youth and beauty to have a comfortable life. Each story carries a separate message, with things worth pondering about people, life, behavior and choices.

According to editor Trinh Khanh Ha, the film is not only a story about love and life of each individual, but also a journey of building happiness, overcoming difficulties and connecting strangers in a workers' dormitory. There, the life of making a living and calculations do not make people turn their backs on each other, indifferent to each other, on the contrary, they get closer to each other and spread positive energy, kindness and faith.
“The identities and incidents are exploited from a positive perspective, bringing messages about preserving human values in life as well as the aspirations of each person to rise up, for a valuable life, for a better tomorrow. The situations and knots in the film will not be too 'dramatic' but will be resolved in a civilized and emotional way,” said editor Trinh Khanh Ha.

According to director Bui Quoc Viet, the film explores very real characters with good and bad, right and wrong, without embellishment or intentional dramatization.
To play those ordinary people, the director chose suitable actors but not stereotyped. Duy Hung plays the role of Bac - a kind man but with limited ability, and often meddles in other people's business. Paired with Duy Hung is Luong Thu Trang in the role of Lan Anh, a woman who loves her husband and children but makes mistakes due to the pressures of life.
Participating in the "workers' boarding house" are young faces: Cu Thi Tra, Thai Duong, Duy Khanh, Mai Hue... Besides, we cannot fail to mention the veteran faces who always promise to bring depth to their acting such as People's Artist Lan Huong, Meritorious Artist Nguyet Hang, Meritorious Artist Do Ky...
Since June 3, the film has been broadcast on VTV1 at 9:00 p.m. every Monday to Friday./.
