Djokovic just had an easy 3-0 victory (6-2, 6-3 and 6-2) over Cameron Norrie in the fourth round of Roland Garros 2025. This convincing victory not only helped him advance to the quarterfinals but also set a series of other records.
Before the match, Norrie said he would have to be on court for more than four hours if he was to have any chance of winning. Unsurprisingly, he tried to test Djokovic with his stamina and endurance, drawing the Serb into a series of long, physically draining rallies.
Over the past 18 months, Djokovic's patience and declining fitness have been two factors that opponents have been able to exploit.
But now he has shown discipline, the 38-year-old using drop shots, punishing Norrie's deep court positioning and unleashing powerful forehands.

As usual when the Serbian plays a Grand Slam, he breaks more records. Djokovic reached his 19th Roland Garros quarter-final, the most by a male player at a Grand Slam. He surpassed Roger Federer's record of 18 at Wimbledon.
Djokovic now has 100 wins at Roland Garros, second only to "king of clay" Rafael Nadal with 112 wins.
Also at 38, the world No. 6 is the oldest player to reach the French Open quarter-finals in 55 years.
"Regarding today's match, I think I played solidly and quite well. I always expect myself to play better and will go on the field with the highest desire," Djokovic shared.
The Serbian will face world number three Alexander Zverev in the quarter-finals.
The 4 men's singles quarterfinal matches of Roland Garros 2025 have been determined.
Lorenzo Musetti - Frances Tiafoe.
Tommy Paul - Carlos Alcaraz.
Jannik Sinner - Alexander Bublik.
Alexander Zverev - Novak Djokovic.
