The launch ceremony of the Sun Urban City project – “Live a Vibrant Life” – held on August 24th at the Ha Nam Provincial Gymnasium, offered 3,000 guests a spectacular artistic performance and never-before-seen information about the “suburban resort city with 1,001 amenities south of Hanoi ”.

Ha Nam – a land of hidden heritage

Throughout the event were cultural performances showcasing the rich local culture, including a majestic drum dance accompanied by images of the Bronze Drum, evoking memories of the Ngoc Lu Bronze Drum, a national treasure, and the Doi Tam drum-making village – one of the oldest traditional craft villages in Ha Nam province.

Dancers in traditional costumes appeared, transforming with silk ribbons and props made from rattan and bamboo, reminiscent of Nha Xa silk village and Ngoc Dong rattan weaving village. Each performance was interspersed with familiar images of Ha Nam's famous craft villages and cultural landmarks, evoking a sense of pride in this land of rich cultural heritage. At the same time, the appearance of Divo Tung Duong energized the atmosphere at the Ha Nam Gymnasium with songs that stirred love for the homeland and country.

The artistic performances, the spatial design, and the investor's presentation all conveyed the message: The "Doi Mountain - Chau River" region – the center of the Red River Delta with nearly 2,000 unique historical and cultural relics – holds immense potential for strong development once "activated".

In fact, this locality consistently ranks in the top 10-15 for attracting investment capital. In the first six months of the year, its GRDP growth led the Red River Delta region and ranked 4th nationwide. This shows that Ha Nam is on the right track and is gradually becoming an important economic center of the North.

The artistic performances showcased the rich cultural identity of Ha Nam province.

With the improvement of transportation infrastructure, Ha Nam's development potential has expanded, no longer confined to the old Phu Ly central area or a few famous tourist destinations like Tam Chuc, but instead forming large urban areas located in places with convenient transportation connections. A prime example is the Bac Chau Giang area, where the province has invested in a comprehensive transportation system connecting both internal and external areas.

Accordingly, this area is planned to house the future administrative center of Ha Nam province. The wide and spacious Dien Bien Phu, Le Cong Thanh, Nguyen Van Linh, and Vo Nguyen Giap roads easily connect Bac Chau Giang with the old Phu Ly city center. At the same time, it serves as a gateway for Ha Nam to Hanoi and the Red River Delta provinces via National Highway 1A, the Phap Van-Cau Gie-Ninh Binh expressway, the southern Hanoi road axis, and future expressways connecting Ha Nam with Nam Dinh and Thai Binh…

In particular, the Phap Van (Hanoi)-Phu Thu (Ha Nam) expressway section, currently with 6 lanes, has been proposed for upgrading to 10-12 lanes, significantly increasing traffic flow from Hanoi to Phu Ly, Ha Nam and vice versa. The three-tiered Phu Thu expressway interchange, adjacent to Bac Chau Giang, is expected to be completed in 2025, connecting the North-South expressway with the Capital Region's Ring Road 5. This, combined with Ring Roads 3, 3.5, and 4, will complete the inter-regional transportation system, accommodating the full flow of vehicles from Hanoi and other northern provinces to Phu Ly, Ha Nam.

Not to mention the upcoming North-South high-speed railway projects and the second airport in the Capital region, which will certainly open up opportunities for the development of urban and real estate projects to meet the needs of vacationers, long-term residents, or second-home investors in this area.

A suburban city with great potential.

At the event, representatives from Sun Group shared the inevitable development trend of suburban cities. Particularly in Ha Nam, areas with modern and integrated infrastructure will develop into suburban resort cities with superior living environments, complete amenities, improved quality of life, and will be a driving force for local economic development on its journey to becoming a centrally-governed city by 2050.
