At the Conference, the leaders of Thai Nguyen province informed the working delegation about the socio-economic development situation of the province; Party building work associated with the 2-level local government model. Accordingly, after the merger of Thai Nguyen and Bac Kan from July 1, 2025, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee has 96 Party Committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee, 40 Party Committees of departments, 5,697 Party cells directly under the Provincial Party Committee with 140,108 Party members. From July 1, 2025 to present, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee has issued 42 documents, focusing on disseminating and concretizing the resolutions, conclusions and instructions of the Central Committee; the province has organized 22 meetings of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; 10 meetings of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, 6 meetings of the Provincial Party Executive Committee; 5 sessions of the Provincial People's Council and 5 meetings of the Provincial People's Committee to give opinions and decide on contents under its authority...
The province also reorganized the political system and operated a stable and smooth 2-level local government model. After the merger, Thai Nguyen province has 92 commune-level administrative units. Up to now, 100% of communes and wards have fully completed key positions, ensuring the continuity, stability and strength of the political system. The agencies of the Party, government, Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations have been streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently.
Currently, the total number of temporary positions assigned to the provincial political system is more than 44,000 cadres, civil servants and public employees. Of which, nearly 3,900 cadres from the old Bac Kan province were transferred to the new Thai Nguyen administrative center and have basically stabilized their work. The whole province has carried out 198 transfers, rotations and receptions of cadres, contributing to strengthening the capacity of the grassroots, especially in difficult areas. Preparations for the 1st Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 have been seriously deployed, with quality and on schedule...

At the working program, the leaders of Thai Nguyen province also pointed out some difficulties such as: Party development work in some localities and units is still difficult; in the process of operating the 2-level local government model, the implementation of tasks at some commune-level People's Committees is still confusing due to decentralization and delegation of more tasks. Besides, some agencies and units still have the situation of overdue administrative procedures and records; there are still problems regarding the authority to establish and organize the activities of project management boards under commune-level People's Committees...

Speaking at the working program, Comrade Nguyen Thanh Binh, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, expressed his joy at the positive results that Thai Nguyen has achieved in successfully implementing socio-economic development goals, Party building work and implementing the two-level local government model in the past time. He also expressed his confidence in the success of the 1st Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030; at the same time, he hoped that the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee would continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, bringing the local socio-economic development and prosperity.
Expressing his sincere thanks for the attention, companionship and timely instructions of the Central Organizing Committee in the work of Party building and political system building of Thai Nguyen province in recent times, Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Viet Hung emphasized that the province will continue to maximize the advantages and potentials from the new development space after the merger, closely following the Central's directive documents to ensure the stable and smooth operation of the 2-level local government model, serving people and businesses better and better, thereby promoting socio-economic development and improving the lives of local people.
Through the working session, the Provincial Party Standing Committee had the opportunity to grasp some new working directions, promote the achieved results; at the same time, learn from and draw experience from existing problems and difficulties to carry out tasks with better results.
