On June 17, within the framework of the local promotion program in the Netherlands, a delegation from Phu Yen province led by comrade Le Tan Ho, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, visited and worked at Westland and a number of companies operating in the agricultural sector in this country.

Comrades Nguyen Quoc Hoan, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Le Thanh Dong, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council and leaders of relevant departments and branches joined the delegation.

Westland is located in the west of the Netherlands, in South Holland. The municipality is best known for its greenhouse farming. The majority of the fruit, vegetables and flowers sold throughout the Netherlands and Europe come from this area.

Working with Mr. Bouke Arends, Mayor of Westland, the leaders of Phu Yen province informed about the socio-economic development situation in the province, the potentials and strengths of Phu Yen, especially in the fields of agriculture and tourism . The two sides also actively discussed issues on developing high-tech agriculture, clean agriculture, solutions to adapt to climate change in agricultural production, cooperation in training farmers for sustainable agriculture, etc.

Together with the provinces of Hoa Binh, Dak Nong, Quang Binh, Ninh Thuan, the delegation of Phu Yen province participated in the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Vietnam - Netherlands Agricultural Business Cooperation Association and the localities. At the same time, they participated in a seminar to introduce the potential and investment attraction policies of the locality to investors in the Netherlands.

On this occasion, provincial leaders and departments visited and worked at KP Holland Company (specializing in flowers and ornamental plants), Axia Company (specializing in tomato seed production) and promoted cooperation activities, implementing projects to develop vegetables, flowers, and ornamental plants with these enterprises.
