At Tan Van intersection (Dong Hoa ward, Ho Chi Minh City) of the Ring Road 3 project - Ho Chi Minh City, the Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (Traffic Board) reported on the progress and difficulties in the project construction process.
Relieve traffic congestion
In particular, after hearing the report on traffic jams on National Highway 1A, Dong Nai Bridge and National Highway 51 ( Dong Nai ), Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong requested the Traffic Department to continue monitoring and coordinating with Ho Chi Minh City Police to survey and re-evaluate to choose the most optimal solution to solve traffic jams in this area during the construction of Tan Van intersection.
Vice Chairman Bui Xuan Cuong also requested the Traffic Department to coordinate with press agencies to promptly inform people about traffic flow and guidance through the Tan Van intersection area during construction.
According to Binh Duong Traffic Department (still using the old name after the merger), the traffic congestion in this area has been basically resolved. However, if the road connecting My Phuoc - Tan Van road with National Highway 1A, which is only about 100m long, is cleared and opened soon, along with the putting into use of the road connecting DT 743B road with the new Eastern Bus Station, the local traffic congestion will be resolved and traffic pressure on the area will be relieved.
Inspecting the nearly 100m stretch of road that has not been cleared, Vice Chairman Bui Xuan Cuong requested relevant agencies and units to coordinate with Dong Hoa ward (HCMC) to clear the remaining 8/12 households to construct and clear this connecting road.
Inspecting the construction progress of Binh Chuan intersection, including the intersection with National Highway 13, Ring Road 3 - Ho Chi Minh City and the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 13, Vice Chairman Bui Xuan Cuong acknowledged and highly appreciated the clearance, handover of land and construction progress of the project.
Regarding the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 13, Vice Chairman Bui Xuan Cuong requested the investor, Becamex IDC Corporation, to urgently construct the sections that have been handed over and relocate the technical infrastructure.
Vice Chairman Bui Xuan Cuong also proposed to consider re-planning Binh Duong Bus Station on 30/4 Street (Thu Dau Mot Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) because when Ring Road 3 - Ho Chi Minh City is opened and metro line 2 (Tan Van - Binh Duong New City) is available, there will be no need for this bus station.
Late in the afternoon, Vice Chairman Bui Xuan Cuong worked with Becamex IDC Corporation on the pre-feasibility plan for building metro line 2 from Tan Van intersection to Binh Duong ward (HCMC).
