Cao Son Commune Youth Union: Mobilizing social resources for volunteer movement

The volunteer student team from Vinh Phuc - National Economics University presented the youth project "Model of classifying and treating organic waste using microorganisms" in Cao Son commune (Luong Son).

Cao Son Commune Youth Union has 20 branches, including 17 rural branches and 3 school branches with 178 members. In the face of limited funding for Youth Union activities and youth movements in the commune, organizing Youth Union activities, especially implementing projects and youth work to participate in local socio-economic development, is facing many difficulties. Moreover, in the current period, in order for Youth Union activities to attract a large number of young people to participate and create a positive ripple effect, it is required to implement diverse forms, practical content, and creative ideas. Therefore, the issue of funding sources is a practical need to organize activities. Mobilizing socialization is the solution chosen by the Commune Youth Union to proactively create funding sources for Youth Union activities.

Clearly identifying this, in recent times, the Cao Son Commune Youth Union has stepped up the implementation of solutions such as researching, connecting, and calling for resources to support the movement. Practice has proven that the socialization of resources in implementing the Youth Union's work has become a "lever" for the commune's youth movement to develop extensively. Comrade Bui Thi Lien, Secretary of the Cao Son Commune Youth Union, said: "For many years, the Commune Youth Union has built close relationships with businesses, organizations, and individuals inside and outside the commune and received financial support for its activities."

Recently, within the framework of the volunteer program, the Vinh Phuc Student Volunteer Team - National Economics University coordinated with the Commune Youth Union to organize the program "Cao Son Identity 2025" in Cao Son commune. With many meaningful activities carried out such as: Exchange, learn about history at Cao Son Secondary School; present the youth project "Model of classifying and treating organic waste with microorganisms"; organize "Zero-dong booth"; volunteer activities... Mr. Nguyen Anh Tu, Captain of the Vinh Phuc Student Volunteer Team - National Economics University shared: "Cao Son Identity 2025" not only left a deep impression in the hearts of local people but also spread community values, arousing the spirit of dedication and social responsibility in each student. Thereby demonstrating the role of youth in contributing to building the homeland.

In addition, in 2024, the Commune Youth Union mobilized 100 million VND to donate to 20 households affected by storm No. 3, and connected to give many gifts to young people in difficult circumstances... In the new rural construction movement, the Youth Union mobilized funds and working days to build and install the "Lighting up the countryside roads" project in Suoi Bu hamlet; built the model "Using plastic baskets to go to the market"; mobilized to clear village roads, alleys and collect and treat garbage on the spot, contributing to beautifying the rural appearance...

Comrade Nguyen Dang Tuyen, Secretary of Luong Son District Youth Union, said: Cao Son Commune Youth Union is one of the typical Youth Union bases in mobilizing social resources to successfully organize many movements and activities of the Youth Union, leaving a good impression on charitable organizations and individuals as well as creating opportunities for Youth Union members and young people to contribute, practice and mature. In the coming time, the District Youth Union will continue to direct grassroots Youth Unions to promote socialization of the implementation of Youth Union movements. Coordinate with businesses to support Youth Union members and young people in economic development, organize career guidance activities, vocational training for rural youth, and establish cooperatives owned by young people. Along with the support of district leaders, the enthusiasm of Youth Union officials at all levels and the joint efforts of organizations, businesses and individuals have contributed to promoting effective Youth Union movements and activities, affirming the pioneering role of young people in the socio-economic development of the locality.
