Earlier, the 30-year-old athlete defeated Rakhayeva Nazgul (Kazakhstan) in the quarterfinals of the loser's bracket.

This was also the first medal for the Vietnamese Sports Delegation on October 5th at ASIAD 19.

Thus, as of now, Vietnam has won a total of 2 gold medals, 3 silver medals, and 15 bronze medals, ranking 19th on the overall medal table of ASIAD 19.

Jujitsu, also known as soft martial arts, is a traditional Japanese martial art that originated in the mid-16th century.

The competitive version is now known as Brazilian Jujitsu (BJJ), as it originated in the South American country in 1925.

This discipline focuses on self-defense, employing various joint locking and chokehold techniques to subdue an opponent.

In the karate event that followed, athlete Nguyen Thi Phuong lost to Lau Mo Sheung Grace of Hong Kong (China) in the bronze medal match of the individual kata.

The Vietnamese fighter scored 40.6 points, while his opponent received 43.4 points.

Today, only Dinh Thi Huong from the Vietnamese karate team has a chance to win a medal.
