According to the plan, the Vietnam U23 team will reconvene in Hanoi from October 4th to 10th, concurrently with the Vietnam national team during the FIFA Days in October 2025. The entire team will have three days of training at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, then depart for the UAE for a training camp from October 7th to 10th.
Notably, in the UAE, Coach Dinh Hong Vinh's team will have two highly-rated friendly matches against the Qatar U23 team on October 9-10 and 13, respectively. The West Asian team recently secured a place in the 2026 AFC U23 Championship Finals with three consecutive wins in Group H.
Through this training camp, the Vietnam U23 team will continue to refine their squad, hone their tactics, and gain experience for their immediate goals of the SEA Games 33 and subsequently the 2026 AFC U23 Championship in Saudi Arabia.
Except for the group of eight players including Trung Kien, Dinh Bac, Van Khang, Thanh Nhan, Xuan Bac, Hieu Minh, Phi Hoang, and Nhat Minh who were called up to the Vietnam national team, the U23 Vietnam squad this time doesn't have too many changes with familiar faces such as Ly Duc, Viktor Le, Thai Son, Anh Quan... In addition, coach Dinh Hong Vinh also summoned "newcomer" Vadim Nguyen - a Vietnamese-born player currently playing forSHB Da Nang. Along with him, midfielder Nguyen Thai Quoc Cuong, who is in good form for Ho Chi Minh City Police, is also included.
