On the evening of July 1, continuing his official visit to Korea, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received leaders of several Korean corporations in Seoul.
Prime Minister proposes expanding investment, including in football
Meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Mr. Euisun Chung - Executive Chairman of Hyundai Motor Group wishes to boost business activities and said he is ready to transfer new technologies and invest in new techniques in Vietnam, especially in the context of the growing global and Vietnamese electric vehicle markets.
Appreciating Vietnam's strengths in high-quality young human resources, Hyundai Motor Group also said it plans to have training programs to foster Vietnamese vocational talents for the automobile industry.
The Prime Minister welcomed and encouraged Hyundai Motor Group to expand investment in the green transport sector, enhance technology transfer, increase the localization rate, and support Vietnamese enterprises to participate in the supply chain.
Notably, the head of the Government also asked Hyundai Motor Group to participate in sponsoring and investing in the football field in Vietnam. In response, the group's leaders said they would study the above content seriously and actively.

Next, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Mr. Yeonin Jung, Vice President and CEO of Doosan Enerbility Group - a heavy industry corporation with 13,500 employees and 2023 revenue of over 12.7 billion USD.
Doosan Heavy Industries Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Doosan Vina) alone has manufactured mechanical and heavy industrial products for 398 projects in 35 countries and territories worldwide with total orders of more than 3 billion USD.
At the meeting, the group's leaders introduced Doosan Enerbility's experience, capacity, and achievements and discussed plans to expand investment, transfer experience, management skills, and technology to Vietnamese enterprises.
The company has also participated in developing offshore wind power, applying decarbonization technology to power plants to contribute to the goal of net zero emissions. The group's leaders wish to sign MOUs with Vietnamese enterprises in the field of clean energy and emission reduction.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated and welcomed the group's new solutions and technologies on green and clean energy and its support for Vietnam in implementing sustainable development goals.
Regarding the problems, the Prime Minister requested that the Group continue to coordinate and discuss with Vietnamese agencies and partners to resolve them. If they are beyond their authority, they should report to competent authorities for consideration and decision.

Promoting small and medium enterprise cooperation between the two countries
Also on the evening of July 1, the Prime Minister received Mr. Kim Ki Moon, Chairman of the Korea Small and Medium Business Association (KBIZ) and Mr. Kim Sung Tae - Chairman and CEO of the Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK).
At the meeting, the Chairman of KBIZ discussed plans to enhance cooperation between small and medium enterprises of the two countries.
He also reported on plans to hold an investment promotion forum in Vietnam later this year, with the participation of hundreds of small and medium-sized enterprises.
The Prime Minister thanked and suggested that KBIZ continue to promote investment and business cooperation, and promote Vietnam's investment environment and policies to Korean enterprises.
He also suggested that KBIZ work with the Vietnam Association of Small and Medium Enterprises to connect and support small and medium enterprises of the two countries, and coordinate with the Ministry of Planning and Investment to organize an investment forum at an appropriate time.
The Prime Minister also welcomed IBK's continued credit support for Vietnamese small and medium-sized enterprises.

Previously, on the afternoon of July 1, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the Vietnam - Korea Tourism Promotion and Cultural Cooperation Forum.
This is the first time a Vietnam - Korea Cultural Cooperation and Tourism Promotion Forum has been held on a large scale, with the presence of a large number of representatives from agencies, organizations and businesses of the two countries.
At the forum, Mr. Ly Xuong Can, Vietnam Tourism Ambassador to Korea and 31st generation descendant of King Ly Thai To, presented opportunities and challenges in implementing high-level tourism cooperation, medical tourism between the two countries and a number of other projects.
Leaders of Bonghwa district, North Kyungsang province introduced the "Vietnam Village" project here with the hope of becoming an important cultural exchange highlight between the two countries.
Regarding culture, a representative of Dal LaLa Network presented a project to search for and train global Vietnamese music stars, while CJ Group presented activities to support Vietnamese cinema.
Speaking at the forum, the Prime Minister hoped that the two sides would jointly come up with specific and practical cooperation programs and projects, bringing Vietnam and South Korea tourism to a new level, striving to soon reach 5.5 million visitors, commensurate with the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
Regarding the cultural field, the Prime Minister acknowledged that the Vietnam-Korea cultural cooperation relationship has been continuously nurtured and strongly developed in recent times, and said that the experience and success of Korea will be valuable lessons for the Vietnamese cultural industry, which has just begun to develop and achieved some encouraging results.
The Prime Minister then asked the Korean side to support Vietnam in developing tourism and cultural industry, citing the saying "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together".
