Businesses share stories of conquering international markets for successful sales.

According to the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Vietrade) - Ministry of Industry and Trade , in the context of the increasingly integrated and strongly developing global economy, building an international brand has become a decisive factor for Vietnamese enterprises. Although Vietnam has a strong manufacturing industry, with industries such as wood products, food and garments dominating international markets, the biggest challenge is still to transform from a pure manufacturer to a globally valuable brand.

To overcome this challenge, in recent years, cross-border e-commerce has become an important bridge for Vietnamese businesses to access international markets. Platforms such as Amazon not only bring new opportunities but also create effective distribution channels for Vietnamese products. In particular, Payoneer, as a strategic payment partner of Amazon, provides powerful financial solutions, from multi-currency payment processing to connecting with international banks, helping businesses easily access and operate in global markets.

Mr. Truong Van Cam, Vice President of the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association, shared: "Switching to brand building is an important strategic step, helping businesses not only maintain competitiveness but also expand the scope of product consumption on international e-commerce platforms. This transition not only requires businesses to invest in technology and design but also needs a strong strategy to create a distinct identity for their brand."

Cross-border e-commerce has created great opportunities for Vietnamese businesses to access potential markets. Platforms like Amazon not only help Vietnamese export businesses expand their consumption channels but also provide support tools like Product Opportunity Explorer to research product opportunities and Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) to manage logistics effectively. These solutions not only help minimize risks but also enhance competitiveness in international markets.

Another important factor is equipping the workforce with skills, from foreign languages to technology and marketing, so that Vietnamese businesses can participate effectively in the international arena. The young generation of successors in Vietnam, with their understanding of technology and foreign languages, will be an important force in taking Vietnamese brands far.

A typical example is DH Foods, a food company that has had great success on cross-border e-commerce platforms. Mr. Nguyen Trung Dung, General Director of DH Foods shared: "We have combined the unique cultural story of Vietnamese spices with international quality standards, helping our products not only stand out on Amazon but also be loved by global consumers."

The Vietnamese government also recognizes the importance of supporting businesses in exporting via e-commerce. Agencies such as Vietrade have signed a strategic partnership with Amazon Global Selling to provide training and support solutions for Vietnamese businesses. In-depth training programs on e-commerce, along with guides on selecting products that are suitable for global trends, help businesses find potential markets and optimize their export strategies.

Ms. Duong Thi Minh Tue, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Handicraft and Wood Processing Association, said: "Although the global market has many fluctuations, Vietnamese enterprises, especially in the wood industry, have demonstrated their ability to adapt. Participating in international e-commerce helps Vietnamese enterprises not only expand their markets but also enhance their brand value."

The Amazon E-commerce Export Conference 2025 is not only an opportunity for Vietnamese businesses to share experiences but also an important step in promoting the strong transformation of businesses from manufacturing to building international brands. The development of cross-border e-commerce is the key for Vietnamese businesses to exploit the global market, reaching greater success in the digital age.
