Students of the two schools and students of many high schools in and outside the province learned about vocational training according to German standards and the opportunity to safely migrate to Germany to work.

Help students have more experience

The German Career Coach project was launched on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and the Federal Republic of Germany. Starting from April 26 in Hanoi, the coach will travel through 20 provinces and cities and end its journey in November 2025. The German Career Coach is a 40-foot (about 12m) MAN brand tractor, specially designed and integrated with a solar-powered stage, equipped with interactive areas and learning materials for visitors.

Member of the Provincial Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee DUONG MINH DUNG expressed his hope that there will be more specific cooperation programs in the coming time with German partners and localities such as: German language classes, pilot training projects, internship programs, vocational study abroad or work in Germany for students of Dong Nai province.

Mr. Bach Hung Truong, Head of the Support for High-Quality Colleges (under the Vietnam TVET Innovation Program, GIZ), said that not only students from the two schools that the German Career Orientation Bus passed through but also high school students who came to participate in the program were very excited. Many students expressed interest in training programs oriented towards German standards, and opportunities to study or work in Germany.

Hoang Phuong Nhi, class 11A1, Loc Ninh High School ( Binh Phuoc province), shared: “The activities in the German Career Orientation Bus Program are very useful, helping me have new experiences and better understand my career orientation. Before, I was still hesitant, but after today, I am more certain about my future direction.”

Wide open career opportunities

At Lilama 2 International College of Technology, from 2014 to 2024, GIZ has supported the implementation of 4 joint vocational training programs according to German standards, including: metal cutting, mechatronics, construction mechanics and industrial electronics. These programs are implemented synchronously and linked with businesses in all stages, from implementation, evaluation to job placement for learners. At the College of Mechanics and Irrigation, from 2020 to 2024, GIZ also supported the school to implement 2 new occupations including: electronics and building energy technology; mechanical technology, heating and air conditioning.

All 6 of the above occupations are occupations that society has a high demand for labor, associated with technological development, sustainable development and environmental protection. Therefore, students studying these occupations have very open job opportunities. They can work in Vietnam in foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises or Vietnamese enterprises. On the other hand, students can apply to have their degrees recognized according to German standards, along with learning more about the language, learning about German culture and life to connect and work in Germany.

According to the Principal of Lilama 2 International Technology College, Nguyen Khanh Cuong, within the framework of the Partnership Mechanism for Promoting Vocational Education and Development-oriented Labor Migration (PAM Program), 11 graduates from the school have been sent to Germany to work with high salaries. This confirms that vocational training according to German standards in Vietnam is completely possible. Students trained under this program have enough capacity, skills, knowledge and can integrate into the German labor market.

The Principal of Lilama 2 International Technology College hopes that more students will have the opportunity to participate in training programs according to German standards and have the opportunity to immigrate to Germany safely, fairly and legally to work.

Principal of the College of Mechanics and Irrigation Nguyen Van Chuong expressed his hope that in the coming time, the school will have the opportunity to coordinate with German organizations and the PAM Program to implement a legal, safe and fair labor migration program for students and alumni of the school; at the same time, aiming to build the school into a leading vocational education address, trusted in the field of training and support for legal labor migration.
