In the final match against Cambodia, the Vietnam People's Public Security II team played exceptionally well and won convincingly 4-0. The first goal was scored by player Nguyen Nhu Tuan in the 5th minute. After conceding an early goal, the Cambodia team played with great effort to block the attacks of the Vietnam People's Public Security II team.
However, in the 32nd minute, the home team continued to prove their superiority with a goal by Tran Duc Nam. The next two goals were both scored in the second half, by Vu Manh Duy, in the 68th minute, and Nguyen Duc Phu, in the 80th minute.
Playing with superiority, the home team deservedly won the championship. In an interview after the match, the representative of the Cambodian team - Head Coach Rithea Long said that the team was not happy that they could not win the championship but the whole team tried their best.
"Because we have to focus on the competition, we don't have much opportunity to go out and visit places, but my impression is that Vietnamese people are very kind and funny. We hope that in the future, the tournament will continue to be held so that we have the opportunity to learn and exchange with teams in the region," coach Rithea Long shared.
At the end of the tournament, the organizers awarded prizes to the teams and individuals with outstanding achievements in this year’s tournament. The champion team, CAND Vietnam II, received the Championship Cup and a prize worth 30,000 USD. The runner-up, Cambodia, received a prize of 15,000 USD, while the two third-place teams, Thailand and Timor Leste, were awarded 5,000 USD each.
In addition, individual awards were also honored. Tran Duc Nam (CAND Vietnam II) won a double title including Top Scorer (8 goals) and Best Player of the tournament. Goalkeeper Nattawoot Saengdara (Thailand) was awarded the title of Best Goalkeeper. The Style title went to the Laos team.
In his closing speech, Major General Pham Kim Dinh - Director of the Department of Political Affairs (Ministry of Public Security) emphasized that the teams participated in the tournament with a spirit of solidarity, honesty, friendship, contributing many good plays and beautiful goals. The tournament has ended, leaving many good impressions in the hearts of the audience and the participating teams.
"Through this year's tournament, we hope that the ASEAN Police Football Tournament will become an annual activity, taking place in rotation in each country.
Through sports exchange activities, it will be a bridge for the Public Security Forces of ASEAN countries to continuously connect and strengthen close cooperation in ensuring security, order, and fighting against crimes, especially transnational crimes; contributing to ensuring peace, security, safety, stability and prosperity in the region and the world," said Major General Pham Kim Dinh.
This year's tournament is hosted by the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam, in coordination with the Vietnam Police Sports Association; T&T Group and SHB Bank are the main sponsors.

According to Mr. Do Vinh Quang, this year's tournament brought many exciting, dramatic and professional matches, especially the final match between the Vietnam People's Public Security II team and Cambodia.
Not only a sporting event, the tournament is also an opportunity for regional teams to exchange, learn, improve their physical strength and tactics, and experience the culture and landscapes in Vietnam.
