Strengthening support for businesses in digital transformation through intensive training and development programs

In recent times, the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade) has carried out many practical activities to promote e-commerce and digital transformation in localities, while supporting businesses and the startup community in applying digital technology to business.

In 2025, the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy coordinated to organize conferences, training programs and regional linkage events to improve the capacity of e-commerce implementation in provinces and cities. In particular, the Conference "Promoting regional linkage in e-commerce development - Central region reaches out with e-commerce" recently held has created cooperation between localities in the Central region in developing e-commerce and expanding the market for goods consumption through modern distribution channels.

In addition, the Regional Linkage Conference in Lai Chau is also a prominent event in the series of activities "Promoting regional linkage in e-commerce development in the Northern Midlands and Mountains". This event displayed many digital technology solutions and regional products, contributing to promoting e-commerce development and connecting mountainous localities with the domestic market.

Elevate your digital business through training and coaching programs

Not only stopping at large-scale events, the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy, specifically the Center for E-commerce and Digital Technology Development, has implemented many training and coaching programs in provinces and cities to improve the capacity of businesses and young entrepreneurs in applying digital technology and advanced e-commerce tools.

Programs such as "Strengthening the capacity to deploy and monitor e-commerce activities"; "Strengthening business skills in the digital environment and effective livestreaming strategies"; "Training program, supporting employment and digital economic startups for people with disabilities"; "Application of e-commerce for young entrepreneurs"... have helped businesses access new technology solutions, thereby improving business performance.

The Department of E-commerce signed a cooperation agreement to raise awareness and skills in applying e-commerce and digital payments for businesses and small traders.

In addition, training conferences and workshops were also held in many provinces such as Thai Nguyen, Hau Giang, Tra Vinh , Hung Yen, Gia Lai, Quang Tri, Bac Giang, Ninh Binh... to support the improvement of management capacity and application of information technology, digital transformation for officials, businesses and cooperatives.

Training programs are implemented in depth in localities, focusing on equipping knowledge on the application of information technology in online business, while helping businesses grasp the legal foundation of e-commerce. Training sessions also help the business community, cooperatives and local production facilities improve business efficiency and growth on digital platforms.

Promoting e-commerce and digital transformation

To enhance support for businesses in digital transformation in 2025, recently, Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien signed and issued Decision No. 1970/QD-BCT on the Action Plan of the Ministry of Industry and Trade to implement Directive No. 18/CT-TTg dated June 18, 2025 of the Prime Minister on implementing tasks and solutions to promote domestic and foreign trade to boost trade activities in 2025.

In this Decision, the Minister of Industry and Trade requested to promote coordination with e-commerce floors and large domestic and international online business platforms to implement e-commerce connection programs, regional linkages in e-commerce, cross-border e-commerce to promote the consumption of products and goods in the online environment, focusing on supporting small and medium enterprises, cooperatives, craft villages, and local production facilities to access and expand online sales channels.

At the same time, launch programs to promote consumption of Vietnamese goods and local products through e-commerce platforms and social networks and various e-commerce business models, thereby promoting digital transformation in production and business activities for enterprises, enhancing brand value, local image as well as expanding local consumption markets and aiming for export.

In particular, the Minister of Industry and Trade also emphasized the need to strengthen the organization of specialized training and development programs to improve legal knowledge and skills on e-commerce and cross-border e-commerce for management staff, support industry and local enterprises and cooperatives, apply technologies to support digital transformation, etc., thereby finding breakthroughs in improving the capacity of export enterprises, being able to participate deeply in the global value chain and flexibly adapt to new business models in the international market.
