The exhibition showcasing achievements in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology , will take place from August 28th to September 5th at the Vietnam Exhibition and Convention Center (VEC). The event is part of the National Achievements Exhibition commemorating the 80th anniversary of National Day.
Here, visitors have the opportunity to admire dozens of valuable artifacts, showcasing the significant contributions of science , technology, postal services, and telecommunications in various historical periods of the country.
The period of resistance and nation-building (1945-1954)

This period is notable for its spirit of self-reliance and self-improvement. The exhibition displays Bazooka and SKZ guns improved and manufactured by engineer Tran Dai Nghia and his colleagues. In November 1946, engineer Tran Dai Nghia researched and produced Bazooka ammunition with penetration power equivalent to American products.

Subsequently, from 1948-1949, he and his colleagues in the Ordnance Department continued to manufacture the SKZ recoilless rifle, weighing 20 kg, with a hollow-charge projectile capable of penetrating thick concrete. The Vietnamese SKZ rifle first saw combat in the Battle of Pho Lu and contributed to the destruction of many enemy bunkers.

Another important artifact is the 100 kg Hugo telegraph machine, used to transmit revolutionary orders and nationwide resistance orders in December 1946.

In addition, several other artifacts such as: a document holder used by Sơn La transport officers during the resistance against the French, and a set of postage stamps featuring the portrait of President Ho Chi Minh from 1946 were also recreated.
The period of national construction and development (1954-1986)

The exhibits showcase the first steps in the nation-building process and international integration. The 5-digit magnetic switchboard produced by the Central Post and Telecommunications Factory in 1956 is one of the representative artifacts of this period.

In particular, the exhibition displays a miniature model of the Hoa Sen 1 ground satellite communication station, which was built with assistance from the Soviet Union and put into operation in Vietnam in 1980.

The MK-42 detonator was used by Professor Vu Dinh Cu to research mine clearing during the war against the US in 1972.
The period of reform and integration (1986 to present)
The exhibition's highlight is the period from 1986 to 2025, comprising three sections: Science and Technology, Innovation, and Digital Transformation, demonstrating the creativity of Vietnamese people in the era of integration.

The model of the "River dam with supporting pillars and barge dam" by Professor Truong Dinh Du and Associate Professor Tran Dinh Hoa was awarded the Ho Chi Minh Prize for Science and Technology in 2010.

A model of the rocket that launched the Vinasat-2 satellite into orbit in 2012.

A model of a nuclear reactor.

This period marks a significant leap forward in Vietnam's science and technology. Artifacts and models such as the 500 kV North-South transmission line project's first circuit tower and the VTC digital telephone exchange, researched and assembled by VTC Company, demonstrate the increasingly high level of scientific and technical expertise of domestic engineers.
