Speaking at the opening of the conference, VUFO President Nguyen Phuong Nga affirmed that the conference focused on analyzing and evaluating the results achieved by the VUFO system, frankly acknowledging existing problems, limitations as well as difficulties and obstacles that need to be overcome and resolved, and at the same time discussing and orienting the construction and development of VUFO from now until 2030. The results of the conference will be a good foundation for the development of documents for the 7th Congress, term 2024-2029 of VUFO.

At the conference, delegates listened to a report on the results of implementing the VUFO Action Program to implement the foreign policy of the 13th National Party Congress, period 2021-2023 and the focus of work in the coming time. Accordingly, in recent times, VUFO has proactively innovated and improved the effectiveness of bilateral and multilateral people-to-people diplomacy; mobilized resources to serve socio -economic development with high efficiency, with the total average disbursed aid value of about 230 million USD/year.
