Previously, at around 5:00 a.m. on May 7, hotel staff discovered an individual suspected to be a hawksbill turtle caught in a waste net (a damaged fishing net discarded by fishermen) and drifting to Dat Doc beach, so they notified Con Son Station (Con Dao National Park Management Board) for coordination in handling the situation.
Through inspection, it was determined that the hawksbill sea turtle is a species in the list of priority species for protection. The hawksbill sea turtle is female, measuring 28cm x 23cm, weighing about 8kg, in stable health, with no injuries or unusual signs detected and has been released back into the sea.

The green turtle's health is stable, no injuries or abnormalities were detected and it was released back into the sea.
