The DIFF 2024 final night featured a competition between Liuyang Jingduan New-art Display Co. from China and Joho Pyro Professional Fireworks AB, representing Finland.
The Chinese representatives opened the DIFF 2024 final with a performance that was far more surprising than what the team had shown in the qualifying round.
Titled "Dazzling Da Nang," China's performance inspired a love for Da Nang's beauty and charm, featuring groundbreaking music that blended strong Chinese influences with vibrant Western energy. The constantly changing rhythm of the fireworks throughout the sequence created an emotionally charged light show by Liuyang Jingduan New-art Display Co.

In contrast to the traditional yet incredibly vibrant style of the Chinese team, the Finnish team made the Da Nang summer night much "hotter" with their modern and energetic performance set to famous European and American songs and film soundtracks.
Using approximately 10,000 fireworks, the Finnish team captivated the audience with their spectacular fireworks displays both in the air and underwater, delivering truly unique effects.

As a result, the organizing committee announced that the Finnish team officially won the DIFF 2024 championship, with a prize of $20,000. The Chinese fireworks team won second place with a prize of $10,000.
This result is based on a scoring criteria including: originality, design ideas and adaptation to the performance theme; diversity and richness of effects and color intensity; synchronization between music and performance; the ending and overall impression of the performance; and the emotions and evaluation of the judging panel.
Also during the final night, the organizers announced the "Creativity" award for the French team for their impressive performance in the qualifying round. Receiving immense support from the audience, the Italian team won the "Audience Favorite" award for their performance of "Radiant Universe: Symphony of Light". Both awards were worth $5,000.
Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh presented the first and second prizes to the two teams from Finland and China.
According to the Da Nang Department of Tourism , in the three days from July 11-13, the city recorded 455 flights to Da Nang. Just before the final night (July 12), there were 162 flights landing in the city, an increase of over 40% compared to weekdays. On the final night of DIFF 2024 (July 13), accommodation establishments in the city served an estimated 90,017 guests, including about 30,970 international visitors. Hotel occupancy rates throughout the city reached almost maximum, with a 95% occupancy rate. Cruise ship occupancy reached 100% – an absolute maximum.
It is clear that DIFF 2024 has become the focal event that created a vibrant summer in Da Nang, helping the city on the Han River maintain its position as a leading tourist destination in the country. This event also demonstrates the strong involvement of private businesses and the determination of Da Nang city in organizing a large-scale and high-quality international-standard festival, affirming its brand as a leading festival destination in Asia.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Binh – Chairman of Sun Group in Central Vietnam: "Witnessing the joy of the people of Da Nang as well as tourists coming to DIFF, we feel extremely proud. The hundreds of billions of dong we invested in DIFF are completely worthwhile, showing that we are a responsible enterprise towards the locality, and that we have value in contributing a small part to Da Nang city in particular and Vietnamese tourism in general."
Chairman of Da Nang City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh presented a commemorative medal to Mr. Huynh Nam Thang - Deputy General Director of Sun Group in the Central region.
It took a whole year to prepare the script and implement the event, and more than 2,000 personnel from Da Nang city, including nearly 400 from Sun Group, were mobilized. DIFF 2024 was a resounding success and made a significant contribution to promoting the socio-economic development of the city.
Mr. Le Trung Chinh – Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Committee affirmed: "Organized since 2008, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival has become a unique and attractive brand event of Da Nang city. Besides that, the city is always renewing itself with new and attractive cultural and tourism products so that every visitor will feel the festive atmosphere and events always filling this beautiful and dynamic coastal city."
