The beautiful 25-year-old female teaching assistant at the Academy of Policy and Development

Le Ha Trang (born in 2000) was born and raised in Thanh Hoa. From a young age, in addition to her academic studies, this student from Thanh Hoa was encouraged to participate in skill-building classes such as music, drawing, and martial arts to develop comprehensively.

Throughout her 12 years of high school, Ha Trang consistently achieved the title of excellent student and served as the President of the English Club at Dao Duy Tu High School in Thanh Hoa. These years helped to instill self-discipline in her studies, while also honing her leadership, organizational, and teamwork skills.

Le Ha Trang, 25 years old, is currently a teaching assistant for the subject of Risk Management and Finance at the Academy of Policy and Development.

Club activities helped Trang learn how to lead a group, organize events, and work with people. This helped the young woman avoid feeling overwhelmed when entering university – where students are not only judged by their grades.

After graduating from high school, Ha Trang pursued a Business Administration program taught in English at the National Economics University (NEU). Trang hoped to develop comprehensively in terms of professional knowledge, critical thinking, foreign language skills, and academic demeanor. The English-taught program allowed her early access to international materials and modern learning methods, laying the foundation for her long-term academic goals.

After graduating from university and having worked in finance for over a year, Ha Trang decided to go to the UK to pursue a Master's degree in Project Management, Risk Management, and Finance at City St George's, University of London. This decision stemmed from her need for in-depth study and her desire to challenge herself in a completely different environment.

Trang's time studying in England was the most challenging period, but also the time when she matured the most. The fast pace of learning, the demand for strong critical thinking and independent research skills forced her to completely change her approach to knowledge.

After completing her master's program, Ha Trang had the opportunity to work at several large companies in the finance sector. However, she decided to return to Vietnam and pursue a career in university teaching.

Currently, Ha Trang teaches as a teaching assistant in risk management-related courses at the Academy of Policy and Development, with a practical approach, before becoming a lecturer. She doesn't aim for students to memorize formulas or theories mechanically.

Trang attended the ISCA Conferences in Singapore in November 2025.

“ I hope you will develop a risk-aware mindset early on, learn to make decisions under imperfect conditions, and take responsibility for your choices, ” she said. According to her, successful people are not those who avoid all risks, but those who understand, measure, and manage risks in a volatile world .

Alongside her teaching career, Ha Trang participated in the Miss World Vietnam beauty pageant, which provided her with multifaceted social experiences. “I learned how to listen, empathize, and communicate with many different groups of people. This helps my lectures become more relevant and engaging ,” she said.

In the future, Ha Trang will continue to conduct in-depth research on risk management, finance, and applied education , while developing curricula linked to business practices and international standards, aiming to train human resources who are adaptable and socially responsible.

Ms. Nguyen Bich Ngoc, Lecturer at the Faculty of International Trade & Economics, National Economics University, highly praised her student Le Ha Trang's intelligence, diligence, extensive knowledge of the financial market, strong critical thinking skills, and ability to solve complex problems.

Looking back on her journey, the teaching assistant hopes students will see both her perseverance and her courage to step outside her comfort zone. For Trang, success isn't a sudden leap, but the sum of many right choices made quietly.

"Your starting point doesn't determine your destination. Invest in knowledge, because it's an asset no one can take away," Ha Trang advised young people.
