Specifically, in Decision No. 1483/QD-TTg, the Hanoi Procuracy University was renamed the Procuracy University, with its main headquarters located in Hanoi.
According to Decision No. 1485/QD-TTg, Hanoi Textile and Garment Industry University was renamed Hanoi University of Industry and Commerce, with its main campus located in Hanoi.
The Deputy Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of Education and Training, the Hanoi People's Committee, and relevant agencies, according to their functions, duties, and authority, to guide and supervise the renaming process to ensure transparency, prevent corruption, financial losses, and waste of assets; avoid disrupting the normal and continuous operation of the school; and ensure the legitimate rights and interests of students, lecturers, administrators, employees, and related organizations and individuals in accordance with the law.
The predecessor of the University of Prosecution was the School for Supplementary Training and Education of Prosecution Cadres, established in 1970. The school has undergone several name changes, including Hanoi College of Prosecution (1981-2005); School for Training and Professional Development of Prosecution (2005-2013); and Hanoi University of Prosecution (from 2013 to present).
Before being renamed Hanoi University of Industry and Trade, Hanoi University of Textile and Garment Industry was a public university with an applied orientation, formerly the School of Technical and Vocational Training in Garment Manufacturing, established in 1967. In 2015, the school was upgraded to Hanoi University of Textile and Garment Industry.
