The 2026 Asian Cup women's football qualifiers will take place from June 29 to July 5. The Indonesian women's team is in Group D with Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan and Chinese Taipei. Indonesia is the host of this group.

To prepare for the Asian Cup qualifiers, the Indonesian women's team has called up a squad with 10 players born outside Indonesia. Most of them were born in the Netherlands. That makes the Indonesian women's team the second-highest number of naturalized players in Southeast Asia, after the Philippines (22 naturalized players).

Indonesia has two players playing in the United States, including goalkeeper Iris de Rouw (St. John's Red Storm) and forward Sydney Hopper (Dallas Baptist Patriots). One player is playing in Japan, forward Zahra Muzdalifah (Cerezo Osaka). Three players are playing in the Philippines, including defender Gea Yumanda, midfielder Sheva Imut and Nasywa Setira (all of Makati FC).

In addition, the current lineup of the Indonesian women's team also has a player playing in Belgium, striker Estella Loupatty (Zulte Waregem Club).

With this squad, the Indonesian women's team not only aims to win a ticket to the 2026 Asian Cup finals, but also aims to compete for the 2025 Southeast Asian Women's Football Championship (taking place in August), as well as the 33rd SEA Games (December).

Indonesia, with a series of naturalized players, will be a formidable opponent for the Vietnamese women's football team this year and in the coming years.
