(HBĐT) - On August 21, a working delegation of the Provincial People's Committee led by Mr. Dinh Cong Su, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee for National Target Programs inspected and urged the implementation of national target programs in Mai Chau district.
The working delegation of the Provincial People's Committee inspected the progress of project implementation using capital from the National Target Program in Go Lao hamlet, Son Thuy commune.
According to the plan, in 2023, Mai Chau district was assigned over 45 billion VND from the Socio-Economic Development Program for Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas, and has so far allocated over 45 billion VND, reaching 100% of the plan. The total capital from the Sustainable Poverty Reduction Program was assigned 9.6 billion VND, and has so far allocated 9.6 billion VND, reaching 100% of the capital plan. The total capital assigned from the New Rural Development Program is over 33.3 billion VND, and has so far allocated over 8.4 billion VND, reaching 25.52% of the plan.
However, as of August 18, 2023, all three capital sources under the National Target Program in the district have disbursed capital from 2022 and 2023, reaching nearly 50%. The reason is that there is still confusion in the implementation process, the appraisal of projects using capital to support the district to meet the new rural standards is still slow. Although the poverty reduction results in extremely difficult communes have met the target, they are not really sustainable.
Speaking at the inspection, Mr. Dinh Cong Su, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, suggested that Mai Chau district should have specific solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles, speed up progress and complete the disbursement of National Target Programs in 2023. Mobilize and propagate people and businesses to participate in contributing to the construction of new rural areas. Strengthen inspection and supervision during the implementation process, the district's specialized departments should strengthen coordination with departments and branches to exchange appropriate methods; invest with focus, key points, and sustainably in order of priority, solve urgent problems and serve production needs in ethnic minority areas.
Previously, the delegation inspected the resettlement site in Phuc hamlet and the construction progress of the cultural house in Go Lao hamlet, Son Thuy commune.
