The spectacular artistic performances, the stage design reflecting the rich culture of Hue blended with modern style through a combination of vibrant sound and light, proud melodies and exhilarating dances, created many emotional moments to welcome the new year.

Viewers also enjoyed performances that harmoniously blended traditional and modern music , recreating the cultural beauty of Hue.

This year's special New Year's art program is elaborately staged with the participation of approximately 200 artists and performers.

Despite the heavy rain, the excitement of the locals and tourists remained high. Many international visitors also braved the rain to watch the show.

Mr. Lai Dang Nhan, a tourist from Quang Binh, shared that this was his first time celebrating Tet (Lunar New Year) in Hue and watching the fireworks display to welcome the new year. Despite the slight inconvenience due to unfavorable weather, he was still very excited. "Hue is very beautiful, and the location for the art program and the New Year's Eve fireworks display is very impressive, so I wanted to take some commemorative photos at this special moment," Mr. Nhan said.

For Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong (30 years old), originally from Hanoi and recently married into a family in Hue, this is also the first year her husband has taken her to watch fireworks in the ancient capital of Hue. “It’s difficult to compare the New Year’s Eve atmosphere in the two places, but I feel that the New Year’s Eve and Tet atmosphere in Hue is very warm and joyful. Hue is peaceful in its pace of life, but it needs lively moments, and the people of Hue are very 'willing to participate,' ready to brave the rain to attend the program,” Ms. Huong said.

At the sacred moment of transition between the old year and the new year, the fireworks display captivated everyone's attention, eliciting a mixture of surprise and delight, along with rounds of applause.

Besides the area around the Monument, at other locations such as the fountain right in front of the City Hall on Le Loi Street, the wooden walkway along the southern bank of the Perfume River; cafes along the Perfume River; and on dragon boats, many people gathered to watch the moment of transition between heaven and earth.

“This year, my family and I decided to watch the fireworks to welcome the New Year. Indeed, the spectacular fireworks display dispelled the cold and dampness of Hue. I wish the country continued prosperity and the city of Hue continued development,” shared Mr. Nguyen Minh Chau (An Dong ward, Thuan Hoa district).

Along with the Ky Dai area, Hue city also organized fireworks displays in Phong Dien town, Phu Loc district and A Luoi district.

In Phu Loc district, at nearly 9:30 PM on January 28th, people flocked to the Phu Loc District Central Cultural House (residential area 4, Phu Loc town) to watch the art program celebrating the Party and the Spring Festival, and the fireworks display welcoming the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Snake 2025.

The art program featured over 30 spectacular performances by singers and representatives from various organizations, localities, and schools. The diverse genres of singing, dancing, and music focused on themes praising the Party, celebrating the country's renewal, and the vibrant melodies of spring, creating a joyful and lively atmosphere. Particularly noteworthy was the 15-minute fireworks display, featuring 300 high-altitude and 500 low-altitude fireworks, which delighted both locals and tourists.

In A Luoi district, starting at 7:30 PM, thousands of people from various communes and towns flocked to the district square to enjoy the atmosphere of the "Celebrating the Party, Celebrating Spring 2025" cultural program. Many families and young people eagerly took photos with the snake mascot in the center of the square and along the flower-lined street. Everyone was excitedly waiting for the sacred moment marking the beginning of the new year.

Before the transition to the New Year of the Snake 2025, crowds flocked to the stage area of ​​Phong Dien town stadium, where the New Year's Eve art program and fireworks display were taking place. The art program featured nearly 20 unique musical and dance performances, praising the Party, the beloved President Ho Chi Minh, and celebrating love for the homeland and the spring season... performed by the Phong Dien town's amateur art troupe. The program was a meaningful gift, bringing a joyful, warm, and spring-filled atmosphere, with hopes for the changes that will come to Phong Dien.

The fireworks display, with its dazzling colors and artistic effects, brought joy and a range of emotions to thousands of viewers, welcoming the new year.
