In the atmosphere of joy and excitement as Buddhists nationwide celebrate the Buddha's Birthday, on behalf of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice Chairman Nguyen Phi Long sends his best wishes to the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and all dignitaries, officials, monks, nuns, and Buddhists, wishing them a Buddha's Birthday filled with joy, happiness, and peace.
This year's Buddha's Birthday celebration takes place after the success of the 14th National Congress of the Party; the success of the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and deputies to the People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term; and especially immediately after the success of the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front - an event of great significance, marking a strong transformation after the streamlining and reorganization of the organizational structure, with political and social organizations and mass associations assigned by the Party and State to be under the direct control of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Mr. Nguyen Phi Long affirmed: In recent years, under the leadership of the Party, the country has achieved many outstanding accomplishments in the fields of socio -economic development and national defense and security. The material and spiritual lives of the people have been increasingly improved. Contributing to the country's overall achievements is the joint effort and cooperation of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in propagating and mobilizing monks, nuns, and Buddhists to abide by the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws; actively implementing social welfare activities, supporting people in overcoming the consequences of storms, floods, and natural disasters... thereby contributing to affirming the important role of Buddhism in social life.

Emphasizing that the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front always stand alongside and create favorable conditions for the development of religions, Mr. Nguyen Phi Long expressed his hope that the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha would continue to work alongside the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front to care for the people's lives, foster patriotism, uphold the Vietnamese tradition of "mutual support and compassion," unite all strata of the people, contribute to national development, and propagate Buddhism.
Expressing his sincere gratitude for the sentiments of the leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Venerable Thich Duc Thien, Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, affirmed that throughout history, Buddhism has always accompanied the nation. As an active member of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha has played a role in mobilizing and uniting monks, nuns, and Buddhists nationwide to effectively implement the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, and strengthen the great national unity.
"The Vietnam Buddhist Church continues to uphold the tradition of 'protecting the nation and ensuring the people's well-being,' living 'a good life and a virtuous life,' and joining hands to build a prosperous and thriving country in the new era," emphasized Venerable Thich Duc Thien.
