This is one of the province's key transport infrastructure projects, of great significance in promoting socio -economic development and creating urban development space.

Construction of the road package to begin in September

The Cai River coastal route has a total length of nearly 4.6km, connecting Ha Huy Giap Street to Tran Quoc Toan Street, passing through Tran Bien Ward and Tam Hiep Ward, Dong Nai Province.

By the end of 2023, two main packages of the project had been implemented, including construction package No. 10, building 5 bridges on the route and access roads at the two ends of these bridges. The remaining package being implemented is construction package No. 20, construction and installation of the relocation of high-voltage, medium-voltage, low-voltage lines, transformer stations and lighting.

According to the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, currently, of the 5 bridges on the route under construction, the 2 bridges of Tam Tau and Suoi Linh have basically been handed over enough land for construction. For the remaining 3 bridges including Tan Mai, Rach Gio and Ba Bot, the access roads are still facing problems.

Deputy Director of the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board Nguyen Linh said: For construction package No. 10, the cumulative value of implementation to date has reached 96 billion VND, reaching 59% of the signed contract value.

Meanwhile, for the road section of the project, construction has not yet begun due to land issues. Accordingly, for the road section of the project, the Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board has only received the handover of nearly 2.4 hectares out of the total land area that needs to be handed over of more than 13 hectares. However, some land areas for handover are still scattered, not connected to each other, so they do not meet the conditions for organizing a bidding to select a contractor.

Chairman of Tran Bien Ward People's Committee Nguyen Duy Tan said: Recently, the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board has coordinated with Tran Bien Ward to speed up site clearance work, meeting all conditions to start construction of the road section of the project.
project.

“Tran Bien Ward is carrying out procedures to reclaim 5 plots of land adjacent to Dong Nai Petroleum Company’s land (Oil Company’s land) to hand over in order to start construction of the Cai River Coastal Road Project in September 2025,” added Mr. Nguyen Duy Tan.

Project completion in 2025

According to the set target, the Cai River Road Project will be completed in 2025. To achieve this target, one of the biggest bottlenecks that needs to be removed is the clearance work.
ground

According to the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, for construction package No. 10 in particular, the unit needs to immediately hand over the construction sites of the approach roads at both ends of Tan Mai Bridge and Rach Gio Bridge as well as the surface of the approach road at the bridgehead at pier M1 of Ba Bot Bridge.

According to the Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board, to implement the Cai River Road Project, the authorities must reclaim land from 338 households with a total area of nearly 15 hectares. Up to now, the unit has received and handed over 2 batches with a total area of nearly 4 hectares, reaching 25% of the total area to be handed over, including: batch 1 (December 29, 2023), receiving and handing over the site of construction package No. 10 with an area of nearly 1.4 hectares; batch 2 (April 16, 2025), receiving and handing over the site of the road section with an area of nearly 2.4 hectares.

Regarding the remaining land area for construction of the project's road section, the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board has requested the Bien Hoa Branch Land Fund Development Center to urgently handle problems and hand over the land in September 2025 to be able to achieve the goal of completing the construction of the Cai River Road Project in 2025.

Recently, in Document No. 4903/UBND-KTN dated September 9, 2025 sent to the directors of the Departments of Construction, Agriculture and Environment; leaders of the Provincial Land Fund Development Center, the Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board and the Chairmen of the People's Committees of Binh An and Phuoc An communes on the progress of implementing a number of key projects in the province, Comrade Vo Tan Duc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Construction to organize an inspection of the construction status of the Cai River Road Project, synthesize and propose to the Provincial People's Committee to direct the acceleration of the project's progress.
