Dong Nai General Hospital deploys electronic medical records

(DN) - On September 12, Dong Nai General Hospital held a ceremony to announce the implementation of electronic medical records (EMR).

Accordingly, implementing the direction of the Government and the Ministry of Health on EMR deployment, the Party Committee and Board of Directors of Dong Nai General Hospital have agreed on the policy, approved the project and directed departments and offices to urgently prepare the necessary conditions to deploy EMR.

The hospital has invested in server infrastructure including 3 computers serving the medical examination and treatment system; selected a partner to provide EMR solutions; invested in an anti-virus system for key servers and workstations deploying EMR; upgraded the firewall system according to level 2 information security regulations.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Director of Dong Nai Province Department of Health Le Quang Trung emphasized: EMR is considered an important solution to simplify administrative procedures, helping doctors and nurses more conveniently monitor and manage patient health.

So far, in Dong Nai province, there are 3 hospitals that have implemented EMR: Long Khanh Regional General Hospital, Thong Nhat General Hospital and Dong Nai General Hospital. According to the roadmap set by the Government and the Ministry of Health, all medical facilities with beds nationwide must implement EMR before September 30, 2025.
