(DN) - On the morning of October 23, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son chaired a meeting with the Department of Education and Training (DET), relevant departments and branches on the implementation of Conclusion Notice No. 81-TB/TW, dated July 18, 2025 of the Politburo on investment in school construction in border communes; Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW dated August 22, 2025 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development.

Reporting on the progress and results of implementing the Provincial Party Committee's conclusions on the implementation of Conclusion Notice No. 81-TB/TW of the Politburo , the leaders of the Department of Education and Training stated that, after a short period of vigorous implementation of the directives of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, the department has now coordinated with relevant departments, sectors, and localities to complete a considerable amount of work in preparing for investment in school construction in 8 border communes.

Specifically: Through a review, the total number of educational institutions in the 8 border communes of the province is 69, including 53 public and 16 private educational institutions. After the review, the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Finance, and the Department of Construction have estimated the expected cost for investing in school construction in the 8 border communes at over 1,194 billion VND. This plan and funding will be implemented in 3 phases, from 2025 to 2027.

In 2025, the Provincial People's Committee allocated nearly 100 billion VND to immediately implement the investment plan to build schools for 5 communes. In 2026 and 2027, the province will continue to spend an estimated 1,094 billion VND to complete the school system for border communes in a solid, synchronous and modern direction.

Regarding the work of advising on the implementation of Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW, the leaders of the Department of Education and Training stated that the draft Action Plan for implementing Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development has been drafted and completed through several stages. The draft was submitted to the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee for comments and finalized on October 21st.

At the meeting, leaders of the Department of Education and Training and related sectors also reported and discussed with Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son on the agreement on the plan to recruit teachers for schools in the province, the education development project for specialized schools and policies to attract and support high-quality human resources to work at Dong Nai University in the period of 2025-2030.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son said: The resolutions, directives and conclusions of the Central Government on the development of education and training are a great opportunity for Dong Nai to continue to consolidate and modernize the school system, creating momentum for the modern and sustainable development of the province. The education sector must research and advise the Provincial People's Committee on breakthrough solutions and policies that surpass the new development requirements of the province to create a breakthrough in education and training.

Regarding the implementation of school construction in border communes, provincial leaders proposed to develop a clear implementation plan for each stage, thereby implementing effectively, ensuring requirements on time and quality.

During the implementation process, special attention must be paid to investing in information technology and digital transformation to shorten the development gap between border schools and schools in areas with more favorable development conditions. In addition, policies and mechanisms must be developed to attract and provide incentives for teachers working in schools in border communes.

Regarding the recruitment of teachers for schools in the area, provincial leaders emphasized that this is an important task that needs to be focused on and resolved soon and thoroughly.

Also on the morning of October 23, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Truong Son worked with the Board of Directors of Dong Nai University to continue to resolve difficulties for the school related to investment in facilities, assigning scientific research tasks, training and fostering teachers and staffing for the Pedagogical Practice High School under Dong Nai University. This is an issue that the Provincial People's Committee leaders are particularly concerned about and have had many working sessions with the school's Board of Directors in the recent past.
