Temporary repair of damage pending upgrade of Cay Gao road

(DN) - On October 29, the People's Committee of Bau Ham commune (Dong Nai province) informed that the local government has mobilized bulldozers and materials to temporarily fill and patch the "potholes" at damaged locations on Cay Gao street while waiting for the road upgrade project to be implemented.

Cay Gao Road, from Cay Gao Market to Tan Lap Primary School (Bau Ham Commune) is currently in serious disrepair with many potholes, causing difficulties and potential danger for people going to the market and students going to school. The situation is especially serious on rainy days, when the asphalt road surface is peeling off, many sections have turned into slippery red dirt roads, stagnant water, occupying the entire road.

This is a vital route serving the daily life of the people, with a high volume of people and vehicles passing by, especially parents picking up and dropping off students. Recently, local people have continuously reported on the unsafe condition of the route. The severe damage to the road surface not only affects travel but also directly threatens the safety of the community.

Bau Ham Commune People's Committee said that the road section is part of the Trang Bom - Cay Gao Road Upgrade Project (from Tan Lap intersection to Tri An Lake). The project has been approved by Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee with a total investment of more than 161.9 billion VND and a length of nearly 6km. The local government is actively coordinating with the Trang Bom Branch Land Fund Development Center and related units to urgently inventory and reclaim land in order to soon hand over the clean site to the investor for construction.

While waiting for the project to officially launch, to ensure traffic safety and facilitate travel for people, Bau Ham Commune People's Committee has proactively mobilized donors to support bulldozers and materials to temporarily fill and patch potholes at the most severely damaged locations. This temporary remedy has significantly reduced the slippery and localized flooding situation, contributing to ensuring safety for students and people at the end of the rainy season.

The local government will continue to closely monitor the project's progress and maintain temporary measures to minimize risks and create the most favorable conditions for people to live, study and produce while waiting for the road to be upgraded and completed.
