Located quite far from the center, in the past, many households in the fruit growing area of Bau Nghe village, Phuoc Long ward had to use diesel engines to irrigate their crops at a rather high cost. The 3-phase transformer station invested in by the provincial electricity sector not only helps to irrigate over 90% of the crop area synchronously but also effectively serves the deep processing of durian products in the locality.

Mr. Truong Van Dao, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Director of Bau Nghe Fruit Cooperative, expressed: "Thanks to the power grid, people do not have to use diesel engines, so they can reduce a lot of costs for irrigation. When the cooperative's deep processing and freezing factory for durian products comes into operation, people around here will also benefit a lot, not having to go far to sell, and avoiding price pressure."

Specializing in the production and processing of cashews for export with a capacity of over 15 thousand tons of raw materials per year, the machinery operates almost 30 days a month, and the regular power supply plays a very important role for Lan Cuong Company Limited (Phuoc Binh Ward) in maintaining stable production over the past time.

Mr. Phan Van Quoc, Director of Lan Cuong Company Limited shared: "Electricity is always supplied regularly and stably. Power outages are no longer like before, the time of power outages for maintenance is usually on weekends and is always announced in advance by the electricity industry, thanks to which businesses can proactively come up with suitable replacement plans."

Ensuring power supply to expand production

In addition to its strengths in trade and services, Phuoc Binh ward is also known as a center for processing and deep processing of cashew products, with many businesses operating here.

Mr. Nguyen Hoang Dat, Director of Vinahe Company Limited, said: "The local electricity infrastructure is increasingly complete, this is a favorable condition for our business community to have new directions for investment and production expansion. The synchronous implementation of digital transformation also helps businesses to be more convenient when power outages and incidents are notified via the application. Electricity staff also regularly exchange information so that we can proactively arrange appropriate shifts, not to affect production activities."

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son, Vice Chairman of Phuoc Binh Ward People's Committee, said: There are currently 3,600 enterprises operating in the area, of which over 200 enterprises deeply process cashew products for export. In recent times, the electricity industry has always met the needs of daily life, production and business, especially the production and business activities of cashew production and processing establishments and enterprises have always been maintained and expanded, making an important contribution to the economic restructuring, gradually increasing the proportion of industry, trade and services in the locality.

Phuoc Long Electricity Management Team is supplying electricity to over 27,000 customers, of which 3,012 are commercial customers. Commercial electricity output by the end of September 2025 reached 178.4 million kWh, an average of 19.8 million kWh/month.

To ensure regular and continuous electricity supply to serve the production and business needs of people and enterprises, in 2024-2025, Phuoc Long Electricity Management Team will invest in construction and upgrading of works and power grids with a total capital of 60 billion VND, and at the same time allocate resources of nearly 32 billion VND to continue investing in 2026.

"In the coming time, we will continue to propose investment, upgrading and renovating the power grid with the goal of increasing the reliability of power supply, providing good customer care, and bringing satisfaction to electricity users" - Mr. Nguyen Tan Loc, Deputy Head of Phuoc Long Electricity Management Team added.

Stable power source with increasingly improved quality continues to be an important resource, creating conditions for people, production facilities and businesses in the area to maintain and expand production, practically accompanying the local economic development process.
