The Vietnam Agricultural Products Map, a breakthrough initiative initiated by the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development (Ministry of Industry and Trade), has been officially launched with the goal of building a comprehensive digital database of Vietnamese agricultural products. The project not only contributes to promoting and connecting consumption but also opens up a new, transparent and modern direction for the domestic and international agricultural product market.
Building a transparent and updated data system
The Vietnamese Agricultural Products Map has been officially published at https://bandonongsanviet.vn/. This is an open, transparent and continuously updated data system, serving consumers, businesses and management agencies. For the first time, this tool was introduced to visitors and consumers at the 2025 Vietnamese Agricultural Products Week, providing an intuitive experience, making it easy to look up information about local specialty products.
Users can learn about the origin, production area, processing and contact information of suppliers with just a few clicks. In the first phase, the map focuses on introducing typical agricultural products from 34 provinces and cities, representing the advantages, identity and economic values of each region. This is a promising first step to honor the diversity and richness of Vietnamese agricultural products.

The product list on the map is built based on the recommendations and appraisals of the Department of Industry and Trade of the localities, complying with strict criteria on quality, reputation and regional representation. This approach ensures a true reflection of the picture of Vietnamese agricultural products, while laying a solid foundation for expanding the database in the next stages.
This initial selection is not only to introduce typical products, bearing the unique mark of each locality, but also to create a foundation for the process of completing and expanding national agricultural product data in the coming time. Thereby, aiming to build a unified, updated and transparent database of Vietnamese agricultural products connecting farmers-businesses with consumers, effectively serving the management, trade promotion and promotion of the image of Vietnamese agricultural products in both domestic and international markets.
Mr. Tran Huu Linh, Director of the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development (Ministry of Industry and Trade) emphasized the profound significance of the project: “Agricultural products are not only a key economic sector but also closely linked to the history and culture of Vietnam. Each region and each commune has its own unique products. Therefore, the Vietnam Agricultural Products Map is not only a promotional tool but also contributes to building agricultural product brands from commune to provincial level, associating brands with regional cultural identity and history.”
According to Mr. Linh, the selection of products to participate in the map is not only to honor local specialties but also to build a unified, transparent and updated data system. When the agricultural product brand is affirmed, the economic value of each region and the whole country will also be enhanced, creating a driving force for sustainable development for the agricultural sector.
Bridge between production and consumption
Not only introducing products, the Vietnamese Agricultural Map is oriented to develop into an open search platform, providing detailed information on origin, growing areas, production processes, quality certifications, and data on businesses, cooperatives and distribution channels. During operation, the system will be supplemented and updated regularly, vividly reflecting the potential, advantages and cultural stories behind each agricultural product.
With a rich and verified database, the map acts as an effective bridge between producers, distributors and export partners. This not only helps to improve competitiveness but also strengthens the brand value and position of Vietnamese agricultural products in both domestic and international markets.

Mr. Doan Ngoc Bao, representative of Cam Bao Phuong Cooperative Group (Nghe An), could not hide his pride when his products appeared on the Vietnam Agricultural Products Map: “Being on the national agricultural products map is a great honor, because it contributes to affirming the brands of provinces and cities. This tool will help businesses like us reach consumers more easily, expand the domestic market and aim for exports in the future. More importantly, when Vietnamese people know and prioritize using Vietnamese products, the lives and incomes of farmers will also be significantly improved.”
The Vietnam Agricultural Map is not only a technological initiative but also a symbol of the transformation of Vietnam's agricultural sector in the digital age. The project provides an opportunity for consumers to better understand the origin and quality of products, while creating conditions for businesses and farmers to enhance brand value and expand markets.
