Firefighting and rescue competition "Fire prevention and fighting inter-family group" cluster of communes Mau A, Dong Cuong, Xuan Ai

On October 27, in Mau A commune, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Competition "Fire Prevention and Fighting Inter-family Group" of Mau A, Dong Cuong and Xuan Ai communes in 2025 took place.

The competition gathered 6 teams with 48 athletes from 3 communes: Mau A, Dong Cuong and Xuan Ai. The teams went through two rounds including theory and practice.

Teams participate in the theory test.

In the theoretical part, each team representative randomly draws lots and answers one of 30 questions prepared by the organizers. The questions focus on basic knowledge, familiar in daily life, helping people improve their awareness and skills in fire prevention and fighting.

The teams participated in the practical competition with many practical contents related to real life.

The practical competition was exciting and engaging with many practical contents such as: pressing the fire alarm, wearing a gas mask, using pliers to cut the door lock, opening the burning house door, approaching and evacuating victims, moving property out of the fire area, using a gas cylinder to extinguish the fire...

The teams demonstrated smooth coordination, quick operations and solid knowledge in handling fire and explosion situations.

The organizers awarded first prizes to outstanding teams.

At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to the outstanding teams. Mau A Inter-family Group (Mau A Commune), Yen Phu Inter-family Group (Xuan Ai Commune) and Ben Den Inter-family Group (Dong Cuong Commune) all won first prize at the commune level. The overall first prize went to Dong Cuong Commune.

The contest has contributed to promoting and building a movement for the entire population to participate in fire prevention, fire fighting, and rescue; supplementing knowledge, capacity, and skills in handling fire and explosion situations, rescuing people and property for members of households belonging to the "Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting Inter-Family Group"; effectively promoting the "4 on-site" motto in handling fire and explosion situations, incidents and accidents in residential areas.
