The competition brought together 6 teams with 48 athletes from 3 communes: Mau A, Dong Cuong, and Xuan Ai. The teams participated in two parts of the competition: theory and practice.

In the theoretical part of the competition, representatives from each team randomly drew and answered one of 30 questions prepared by the organizers. The questions focused on basic knowledge relevant to daily life, helping people improve their awareness and skills in fire prevention and firefighting.

The practical test was lively and engaging, covering many practical aspects such as: setting off fire alarms, wearing gas masks, using bolt cutters to cut door locks, opening doors during a fire, approaching and evacuating victims, moving property out of the burning area, and using fire extinguishers to put out fires…
The competing teams demonstrated seamless coordination, quick reflexes, and solid knowledge in handling fire and explosion situations.

At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to the outstanding teams. The Mau A neighborhood group (Mau A commune), the Yen Phu neighborhood group (Xuan Ai commune), and the Ben Den neighborhood group (Dong Cuong commune) all won first prize at the commune level. The overall first prize went to Dong Cuong commune.
The competition contributed to promoting and building a nationwide movement for participation in fire prevention, firefighting, and rescue; supplementing knowledge, capacity, and skills in handling fire and explosion situations, rescuing people and property for members of households belonging to the "Safe Fire Prevention and Fighting Neighborhood Group"; and effectively promoting the "4-on-the-spot" principle in handling fire, explosion, incident, and accident situations in residential areas.
