Dong Nai supports health insurance payment for more than 643 thousand cards

(DN) - On October 29, Dong Nai Province Social Insurance (SI) said that the entire industry is urgently implementing synchronous solutions to develop participants in social insurance, health insurance (HI), and unemployment insurance.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Quy, Deputy Director of the Provincial Social Insurance, said: After the arrangement of provincial administrative units, Dong Nai has 2 resolutions regulating the level of health insurance contribution support for a number of subjects in the province. These are Resolution No. 10/2022/NQ-HDND of the Provincial People's Council regulating the level of health insurance contribution support for a number of subjects in Dong Nai province for the period 2022-2025; Resolution No. 06/2024/NQ-HDND of the Provincial People's Council regulating the level of health insurance contribution support for a number of subjects in Binh Phuoc province for the period 2024-2025.

From 2022 to present, implementing the above two resolutions, Dong Nai province has supported health insurance premiums (from 20% - 100% of premiums) with a total of more than 643 thousand cards, total cost of more than 497.4 billion VND for beneficiaries.

To continue supporting vulnerable groups in the next phase, the Provincial Social Insurance has advised the Provincial People's Committee to register to draft a resolution of the Provincial People's Council on the level of health insurance contribution support for a number of subjects in Dong Nai province in the period of 2026-2030. Thereby, creating conditions for disadvantaged subjects in society who do not have the conditions to participate in health insurance to receive health care, contributing to ensuring social security in the locality and achieving the target of population participation rate in health insurance assigned by the Government and the Provincial Party Committee every year. It is expected that the resolution will be submitted to the Provincial People's Council (term X) for consideration and approval at the regular meeting at the end of 2025.
