In Binh Son commune , the rising water level of the Tra Bong River has caused severe flooding in many areas of My Hue and Tan An villages, with some places submerged to a depth of nearly 1 meter. The roads leading to these two villages have turned into "seas of water," forcing residents to walk or use boats to get around.

Mr. Tran Cong Sinh (My Hue 2 village) said: "From early morning, the water had already reached knee-deep. I quickly moved all my belongings upstairs, in case the water rose further."

In Tan An village, approximately 13 households located in low-lying areas had their homes flooded. That morning, residents urgently purchased food, instant noodles, rice, and other necessities to stock up, preparing for the possibility of further water level rise.

Mr. Dinh Hung Cuong, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Binh Son commune, said: the locality has developed a response plan, inspected roads, and prepared to relocate people in low-lying areas according to the "four on-the-spot" principle.

According to the Quang Ngai Provincial Meteorological and Hydrological Station, as of 7:00 AM on the same day, the water level of the Tra Bong River at the Chau O station reached alarm level 2 (AL2) at 0.24m. It is predicted that in the next 6-12 hours, the water level may exceed alarm level 3 by 0.3–0.8m. In the province, most rivers are rising rapidly and have already exceeded alarm levels 1–2, while the Tra Khuc River at the Tra Khuc station has exceeded alarm level 3.

In Phuoc Giang commune , floodwaters have inundated many administrative offices, markets, and schools. As of 9 a.m. this morning, 1,081 households in the commune were completely isolated, 905 houses were flooded to a depth of over 0.5 meters, and hundreds of poultry were swept away. Many residents rushed to buy food, instant noodles, and drinking water to stock up.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nuong, a small business owner at An Hoa Market, shared: "The water rose too quickly; we didn't have time to move our goods, and they all got wet. Now we are cleaning up and salvaging whatever is still usable."

To respond to the flooding situation, local authorities have directed functional forces to set up checkpoints at deeply flooded areas, place warning signs, and cordon off areas to prohibit vehicles from passing through in order to ensure safety.

In addition, the local authorities have prepared 10 tons of rice, 350 boxes of instant noodles, 200 boxes of mineral water, 50 boxes of dried food, along with equipment and supplies for rescue operations.
