In Binh Son commune , the rising water level of the Tra Bong river caused many areas in My Hue and Tan An villages to be heavily flooded, some areas were nearly 1 meter deep. The roads to these two villages turned into "seas of water", people had to walk or use boats to move.

Mr. Tran Cong Sinh (My Hue 2 village) said: "From early morning, the water was up to my knees. I quickly moved all my belongings upstairs in case the water rose further."

In Tan An village, about 13 households living in low-lying areas had their houses flooded. That same morning, people urgently bought food, instant noodles, rice and other necessities to stock up, ready to respond if the water level continued to rise.

Mr. Dinh Hung Cuong, Vice Chairman of Binh Son Commune People's Committee, said: the locality has developed a response plan, inspected roads, and prepared to evacuate people in low-lying areas according to the "4 on-site" motto.

According to the Quang Ngai Province Hydrometeorological Station, by 7:00 a.m. the same day, the water level of the Tra Bong River at Chau O Station reached alarm level 2 (BD2) of 0.24 m. It is forecasted that in the next 6-12 hours, the water level may exceed alarm level 3 by 0.3-0.8 m. In the province, most rivers are rising rapidly and have exceeded levels BD1-BD2, with the Tra Khuc River at Tra Khuc Station exceeding level BD3.

In Phuoc Giang commune , floodwaters have inundated many administrative offices, markets, and schools. By 9:00 a.m. this morning, the entire commune had 1,081 households completely isolated, 905 houses were flooded over 0.5m deep, and hundreds of poultry were swept away. Many households took advantage of the opportunity to buy food, instant noodles, and drinking water to stock up.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nuong, a trader at Phien An Hoa market, shared: "The water rose so quickly that we didn't have time to clean up the goods and they got wet. Now we are cleaning up and salvaging whatever is still usable."

To respond to the flood situation, local authorities have directed functional forces to deploy checkpoints at deeply flooded areas, place warning signs, and put up ropes to prohibit vehicles from passing through to ensure safety.

In addition, the locality has also prepared 10 tons of rice, 350 boxes of instant noodles, 200 boxes of mineral water, 50 boxes of dry food, and equipment and supplies for rescue work.
