Da Nang: Installing a field transmitting and receiving station in an area isolated by floods

On the morning of October 29, the field transmitting and receiving station was set up at the required height by officers and soldiers of the 575th Information Brigade and began operating to provide communication services for the flood-affected areas in the mountainous region of Da Nang. Thanks to that, the information network serving the command and direction of Party committees, authorities and military forces has been restored.

The technical officer of the 575th Information Brigade said that the Field Broadcasting and Receiving Station has been put into operation, not only playing an important role in serving the command and response work to floods of Party committees, authorities, and military commanders, but also providing transmission lines and live images of functional forces dealing with landslides to the Forward Command Center of Military Region 5 to serve the command and operation work of superiors in efforts to respond to natural disasters and support people in this historic flood.

The communication system serving the military command levels has been operating stably, serving smooth command. In case the network operators have not fully restored their information networks, the Field Transmitting and Receiving Station of the 575th Information Brigade, Military Region 5 is ready to respond to best serve the command, direction, and support of the people and local authorities in responding to this serious flood, Colonel Nguyen Van Hoa, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Military Region 5 Command added.

"We are extremely happy. With the communication signal, the direction of superiors will be easier and more transparent; rescue forces, and shock troops will have more favorable conditions to expand their access to residential areas and residential clusters in the most remote areas that have been "lost" from communication with local authorities in the past few days," Chairman of Tra Leng Commune People's Committee Chau Minh Nghia shared when receiving information about the installation of the transmitting and receiving station.

Directly directing and inspecting the Station's communication equipment, installed on specialized vehicles serving mobile communication, Colonel Nguyen Van Hoa, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 5 Command, said: In recent days, along with supporting localities to overcome the traffic network that has been severely eroded, supporting food, essential food and drinking water, the leaders of Military Region 5 have always directed and encouraged the support forces of the Military Region to actively help people in natural disasters.

Following the instructions of superiors, during the day and night of October 28, specialized units of the 575th Information Brigade mobilized specialized mobile information vehicles VSAT to the scene. Officers, soldiers, and technical staff with solid professional qualifications took drastic action, with the highest sense of responsibility to quickly restore the information network temporarily, ensure communication in the area, serve command work, and overcome the consequences of natural disasters more effectively.
