Many policies help ethnic minorities in Mau Due commune develop the economy and stabilize their lives.

Adhering closely to the policies of the Central and the province, the Party Committee and the government of Mau Due commune always strive to innovate and be creative in leadership, direction and implementation, setting the goal of developing infrastructure as the foundation. The commune determines that if it wants to develop a sustainable economy, it must first "open the way" for the people.

From the capital of target programs, including the National Target Program for Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas, a series of essential works have been invested. A series of new concrete roads have been opened, replacing the previously difficult travel trails such as: Concrete road from Ngam La village to Ta Dien village; concrete road connecting group 1 (center of Khau Piai village) to group 2 of Khau Piai village; concrete road from Ha Dat village to Na De village...

Specific mechanisms and policies on health, education , culture, housing and social security have been promptly implemented, contributing to ensuring social welfare for ethnic minority people. Among the social security policies, the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses has brought profound humanistic significance. In Na Bua village, there are 54 households, 242 people, with 90% of them being Tay ethnic group, the work of eliminating temporary houses has been carried out drastically.

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Tuyen, Secretary of the Na Bua village Party Cell, happily boasted: currently, the whole village has more than 15 newly built spacious houses worth 200 million VND or more. Together with 4 houses that have just been built with support from the State through the National Target Program, the whole village no longer has temporary or dilapidated houses. For example, the case of Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, a single mother, living in a dilapidated house. Thanks to the timely support from the program, she has a solid house to stabilize her life, creating motivation for her to rise out of poverty.

With the motto of focused, key and sustainable investment, focusing on the most difficult communes, villages and hamlets; solving the most urgent and pressing problems, in addition to infrastructure investment, from the capital source of the National Target Program, housing has been supported for 144 poor households; 4 projects supporting the development of breeding production of buffaloes and cows, with a total support fund of more than 3.5 billion VND; 1 commercial pig farm, breeding pigs with a scale of 300 heads... In addition to production development, vocational training and job creation have been promoted. The commune has coordinated with Hanoi Research, Training and Technology Transfer Company Limited to organize a vocational class on "Raising and supplying buffalo, cows and horses" to improve workers' skills. In October alone, this activity created stable jobs for 9 people, helping them earn more income.

In 2023, Mr. Lau Mi Sai's family in Na Mu village was supported with a breeding buffalo. Mr. Sai said that so far, his family's buffalo herd has multiplied to 5. With a closed-loop farming method, his family's annual income from selling breeding buffaloes and meat buffaloes is over 50 million VND. Thanks to that, it has motivated him to strive to develop the economy and escape poverty. He hopes that the province will continue to pay attention to ethnic minority people to borrow more capital to expand their scale, develop production and escape poverty.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Hoai, Chairman of Mau Due Commune People's Committee affirmed: The Resolution of the 1st Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030 sets the target of reducing the poverty rate by an average of 4% per year. To achieve this goal, the commune has identified the key solution of continuing to prioritize resources to invest in economic, cultural and social development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas. In addition, effectively implementing policies, programs and projects in ethnic minority areas, gradually narrowing the regional gap.

Chairwoman of the Commune People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoai emphasized that the implementation of the National Target Program is not only a political responsibility but also an opportunity to increase the trust of ethnic minorities in the leadership of the Party, the State and the province. The consensus of the people is the biggest motivation for Mau Due to continue to strive to build a more prosperous and happy village in the coming years.
