| Cadres and women's union members of Thuong Minh village, Tien Yen commune support member families to grow vegetables, renovate mixed gardens, and increase income. |
Along with that, the Association has stepped up propaganda and mobilized members to access preferential capital from the Social Policy Bank to invest in livestock, farming, and business development. Currently, the Association is managing 11 loan groups with nearly 500 members, many of whom use capital effectively, escape poverty, and stabilize their lives. Ms. Loc Thi Chat, a member of the Women's Association of Thuong village, was introduced by the Association to borrow 50 million VND from the Social Policy Bank to develop livestock. From this capital, she invested in raising breeding cows, pigs, and commercial chickens. Thanks to diligence and hard work, her family now has a stable income, and life is increasingly prosperous. Ms. Loc Thi Chat was moved: "Thanks to the Women's Association's help in borrowing capital, I have the conditions to do business. Now the livestock is growing well, bringing in an income of more than 50 million VND per year, making family life less difficult than before."
Sharing the same joy as Ms. Chat's family, Ms. Nong Thi Pho's family in Thuong Minh village is a near-poor household. In April 2025, she received attention from the Commune Women's Union and was guided through the procedures to borrow 100 million VND from the Social Policy Bank to develop the economy . With that capital, the family invested in raising 3 cows and a pair of breeding goats. After 6 months of care, the livestock grew well, giving the family more confidence to strive to rise up.
Ms. Nong Thi Pho shared: “When I started borrowing money, I determined to use it for the right purpose and take good care of my livestock to get results soon. The model of raising goats and cows for reproduction is suitable for local conditions, easy to care for, stable output, high selling price. My family really hopes that the income from raising livestock will help us escape poverty soon.”
In addition to supporting members in borrowing capital for economic development, the Women's Union of Tien Yen commune also maintains many practical activities, contributing to spreading the spirit of solidarity and mutual assistance in the community. Members actively contribute working days to help families in difficult circumstances, support women in building houses, renovating gardens, and developing production.
The Association also implemented a project to grow specialty vegetables, attracting the participation of many women to gradually form a clean vegetable material area to supply the market in and outside the province. The programs "Green house for collecting recycled waste" and "3 clean piggy banks" were effectively implemented, contributing to raising awareness of environmental protection and building a green - clean - beautiful lifestyle in residential areas.
Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Tien Yen commune, Hoang Thi Diep said: "In the coming time, the Union will continue to promote and mobilize members to access preferential capital sources, exploit local potential to develop household economy. The Union focuses on forming interest groups, selecting appropriate models, building typical products of the commune; at the same time, strengthening consumption links and guiding women to apply information technology to promote products and increase income."
